Overall, the stay was okay & had several positives. Pool table was great, beautiful brick, & having kitchens on both levels was very convenient. We appreciated the unique decor, the beds were comfortable, & plenty of towels were provided, although they shedded lint everywhere.There were several issues that affected the experience. It was difficult to maintain warm water for showers, & there are dumpsters directly outside the property fence that had a very strong odor—especially a noticeable urine & trash smell anytime we were outside. Cigarette butts were left near the neighboring door on deck & dead cockroaches were inside the house near entrance.The deck & deck steps need repair due to missing pieces & felt uneven & unsteady when walking on (note-multiple high steps to access property). Entering & leaving the property was tedious because the gate had to be opened & locked with a key from a lockbox each time. The listing should clearly disclose that the property is shared with other tenants.Bedroom layout was unusual but managed & there weren't enough hangers or places to hang clothing. The home could benefit from general maintenance & updates. Guests should also know that laundry requires quarters to use.We also attempted unsuccessfully to modify our reservation after unforeseen travel delays affected our stay, which added to the frustration (paid for 2d, present barely 24h). With better maintenance and clearer listing details, this rental could be much more enjoyable!
