Our stay at Peppermint Cottage was amazing! Peppermint Cottage was even more warm and welcoming than the beautiful photos posted! In addition, the finer touches Nicole (host) thoughout were above and beyond - welcoming at every turn! Everything a guest would need was available as stated.Restaurants and boutique shopping within walking distance, as well as Peppermint Cottage is within a wonderful walking neighborhood. Nicole (host) was a fantastic host - kind and very responsive. We definitely recommend Peppermint Cottage and definitley look forward to returning!

We booked our stay at Peppermint Cottage less than 24 hours in advance. Despite the short notice, Nicole made our stay so incredibly welcoming and comfortable. She had decorated the house for Halloween, stocked Halloween-themed snacks for kids, provided s’mores ingredients, and more. Everything we could have needed was provided, and everything from the furniture to the plates was of high quality and in excellent condition. Nicole also went out of her way to share information about the neighborhood and local area when we mentioned we were there on a house hunting trip. Our stay at Peppermint Cottage was easily the best stay at a vacation rental our family has ever experienced and I will absolutely be recommending this location to future guests of ours who visit the area. Thank you, Nicole! Loved it!

Norton Commons Gem

Peppermint Cottage is a fabulous place to stay. The home is very clean and well stocked and Nicole is easy to communicate with. Norton Commons is a walkable neighborhood but also still conveniently located near the highway if you are traveling elsewhere. We hope to return in the future!

Weekend Getaway

In town for a simple weekend to see family. This place is in a great location and was very clean. I’ve used Vrbo to book all my travels over the last few years. I like to filter my searches for Premier Hosts to ensure best quality. Nicole was by far the best host we’ve ever stayed through. She went above and beyond to make sure our weekend was perfect.

Sweet as candy

You are greeted by a sweet hidden row of about 6 adjoining cottages with small, private back yards, and inviting front porches. You are located in a growing family oriented neighborhood near a number of restaurants, shops, and not too far from downtown and the sights of Louisville. The condo is comfortably furnished and bright and inviting. There were 6 of us and we had enough space to be together but to also find seclusion and privacy when needed. The kitchen is well appointed and we were treated to some snacks and coffee left by our host who communicated fully and clearly on the logistics to ensure a great stay and so that we would be welcomed back. And
we do want to be welcomed back. With family in this area, we hope to make Peppermint Cottage a “regular” spot to visit.

Immaculate Home

Peppermint Cottage was just perfect! It was super clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need while away from home. Nicole was a super host and close by in case of emergencies. I would highly recommend staying here.

Wow! Nicole was amazing! Her home was so welcoming and the extra touches she put in were beyond special! The neighborhood had great walkable restaurants and shopping. We hired a chef to come in and that was great too!

Beautiful House

The house was perfect for our family to stay at for a convention. We loved being outside of downtown. The neighborhood is so nice and the house was very clean. She had any and everything you could possibly need for your stay. The beds were very comfortable, and she even left snack baskets for us with loads of snacks! We will definitely stay again when in the area.

Friends and I stayed here during a bucket list trip to the Kentucky Derby, and the property and host couldn't have been better. Nicole was awesome, and the property was clean and as advertised. I'd highly recommend this property for any trip to Louisville.

Best VRBO stay EVER!

My family and I stayed at the Peppermint Cottage for 1 month during our house renovation. I have stayed at 20+ VRBOs in the past and this place was by far the best. There wasn't a detail missed. The cottage provided so many games to keep my kids busy. The details of added necessary amenities and toiletries like paper towels, tissues, qtips, coffee, creamer and lotions was honestly beyond what is expected in a VRBO The king bed in the master was awesome. My husband and I sleep on a Tempur Pedic at home and this bed made us equally as happy. Nicole was so easy to work with and was always very quick to respond to any questions I had. I cannot wait to stay at this VRBO again! Thank you Nicole for a great month away from home!

Everything you need!

We visited family for Thanksgiving. We decided to rent a VRBO instead of a hotel. Norton Commons is a beautiful community-it’s like Seaside, Florida. We arrived at 11 pm, but the lights were on, fridge filled with waters and 3 charcuterie trays. Coffee, real creamer, tea, oatmeal and all types of snacks were also sitting out. There were toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine products, etc. also in each bathroom. We have stayed in VRBO’s for years and years, this was over the top. The house was clean and nice. Beds were very comfortable. Great stay! Nicole is very helpful.

Girls Trip

Nicole’s house was perfect for our girls trip. We were traveling from Columbus, Ohio and wanted to stay in a clean house that was walkable to restaurants/shops. Norton commons has a cute downtown with everything you could need. We spent one day exploring the neighborhood and the next day drove 15-20 minutes to downtown Louisville. Nicole is the perfect host! She thinks of every little detail and provides more amenities than any rental I’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommended!
