This is a good place to stay for a short stay to visit Lucerne. It is pretty limited though. There is no desk service, check in is on a tablet, but for us the tablet was not working so we had to call a number and they walked us through how to activate a room card. The room is clean, but small and a little dated. The location is great and easy to walk to everything in town.

Great location. I loved the room and all the extras—clean room and comfortable bed. Luzern is a tourist city, so why doesn’t the hotel use English? I received 5–6 emails from you, and I couldn’t understand any of them. The self check-in system doesn’t work. We were three different guests, and all of us had to call for help. Also, there’s no soundproofing from the hallway —you hear everything and get woken up constantly.

We never came in contact with a hotel staff member, so there was no one to ask questions if needed. The location was fantastic, but very noisy both late into the evening and early morning. The room was clean and comfortable, other than the noise keeping you up late and waking you up early.

Really enjoyed the location of the Hotel Schlüssel in the old town area of Luzern. Everything is within a 5 to 10 minute walk, and it is just enough off the beaten path to be away from the noisy crowds in other parts of town. There is also a pay laundromat just a street over which was very convenient and we made use of during our stay. There is no onsite staff, giving it more of the feel of a personal rental. This was never really an issue for us other than requesting two room keys at check in and only being able to make one. As an aside, i made another later the first day which worked, but then the original no longer functioned. We really appreciated the fan in the room for our use, which allowed us to keep it comfortable during our 4 day stay even with moderate heat during the day. During the night we also kept the window open with the fan on to bring in cool air but the proximity to the church next door and the bells which peal every 15 minutes all night long made this not a good of an idea. Having the window closed really made this a non issue for sleeping and there is definitely a pleasant historical vibe to their consistency. Loved staying in the city for it's charm and location, and the Hotel Schlüssel just added to the overall enjoyment of our visit.

An excellent property with central location to trains and busses but also in the heart of old town. Rooms are generously spatious and a sweet addition from the hosts is a free mini bar for coffee and light refreshment (beer, coke, water). Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Schlüssel! The staff was incredible and made us feel like family. We appreciated that we were just enough off the beaten path in a beautiful courtyard with a church dating back to 1270! It was quintessential and relaxing. The train station was less than a 10-minute walk, making it perfect for exploring Suisse. They also had an amazing restaurant, and we ended up eating there all three nights. I can't recommend this hotel enough! Thank you, Hotel Schlüssel, for making our experience exceptional!

Cozy hotel great location

Everything was great. Only slight issue was it was hard to air out the room after showers. The provided table fan was not enough to quickly refresh the air.

It was amazing. Only thing I need an air conditioner or cooler. It was hot but I couldn’t open the window because smoking didn’t stop from the bar on the 1st floor. I couldn’t breathe if I open the window. I should be patient hot or smoke. It was so hard.
