Our group of seven thoroughly enjoyed our stay for a ski weekend at Okemo. There was plenty of room to spread out with two living areas. The pellet stove was so simple to use and kept the house nice and toasty with heat on demand. The kitchen was very well stocked with high quality appliances and equipment. Our host provided all of the details we needed to enjoy the home and the surrounding area. Highly recommended!

Lovely Vermont vacation home

This house is perfect for a family vacation. We love all the small villages in the area and the scenery is spectacular. My daughter enjoyed kayaking on the lake and the loons were so nice to listen to morning and evening. We only have two suggestions: the stairs need handrails on both sets, up to bedrooms or down to the family room area and bedrooms downstairs.Also, we were unable to connect the dvd player in the main level living area.Otherwise, the home was comfortable and very well appointed. Our hosts provided everything we needed.

Among the Best Rentals in Vermont

Great property with an especially great kitchen. We eat in 2 nights and the the kitchen had all the things we needed for putting our dinners together. We also used the downstairs game room for some fun.

Fantastic home near Okemo

We stayed at this property over Presidents' Day weekend. We had a group of four but the house has enough bedrooms to comfortably accommodate twice as many people. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we needed. The pellet stove did a fantastic job keeping the entire house warm and helped create a cozy environment. We skied at Okemo and the house is only a 5 minute drive from resort parking. We highly recommend this property and it will be our first choice if we decide to return to the area next winter.

Incredible, Welcoming and Inviting Home

We had a wonderful time in Michael & Amy's home. Driving in the lights were on and the Vermont decor was perfect. Everything was well prepared with a fully stocked kitchen with all the different appliances that you would want. All the essentials were well stocked - soap, paper towels, toilet paper, toothpaste and much more. The house was very clean and well kept with many different areas to hang out in. The beds were very comfortable and the pellet stove was a fantastic providing heat and great ambiance.We would definitely like to stay again in the winter and summer. Thank you for having us.

Great House!! So close to Okemo Mountain

This was a great house! We stayed here with another family, and everyone was comfortable and loved it. The house was clean and warm. The large entry area was perfect for leaving boots, coats and snow gear. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could need to cook any meal: pots, pans, cooking utensils, spices, oils, condiments etc.. The beds were comfortable, showers were hot and towels were soft. The downstairs game area was a fun gathering place to play ping-pong and watch movies together. We will definitely stay here again for future trips to Okemo Mountain. It took only 5 mins to get to the mountain. This also seems like a beautiful place to be in the warmer months. The lake was frozen over while we were there, but I am sure it is nice to enjoy when it warms up. This place is a winner!!

Two families of four stayed for winter break to ski at Okemo. The location was absolutely perfect, the home was incredibly well stocked and so comfortable. Details right down to kleenex and great towels. Was a wonderful overall experience and we want to reserve for next year!

Perfect family getaway

Came up for a long weekend ski vacation with my 3 adult kids, plus 2 extras. House was perfect - plenty of beds for everyone to be comfortable, two living spaces to spread out (although we were all normally in the same room). Prior reviews stated that the kitchen was the best stocked they had ever seen. I completely agree. Anything you could possibly need was available, including basic condiments in the fridge. Pellet stove heated the entire home - actually had to turn it off occasionally because we got too warm. We all had fun playing ping pong in the evenings. Hosts were very responsive. Check-in/out instructions were comprehensive and pretty much told you everything you needed to know about staying in the house. I truly felt at home in the cottage - like I was staying at a friend's place rather than a VRBO. Super convenient to Okemo ski resort - only about 5 minutes away. Would love to come up and see the place in the summer as it is right on the lake.

Wonderful house for Group Vacation

Great location, nearby Jackson Gore lot for skiing at Okemo. Comfortable areas to hang out on the main level and lower level. Easily enough room for the 8 people in our group. Bedrooms were nice and private from each other. Nice view in the morning overlooking the lake.

Wedding Weekend

My daughter got married in Ludlow. Looked for a place for my husband and me along with my son and family. This house was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations. Just pack your bags and any food you need to bring - you will not need anything else. This home is equipped with everything you may possibly need. First time renting with VRBO, everything was quick and easy along with the host answering my questions immediately. Highly recommend it.

Family Fun on the Lake

We had a great week on Lake Rescue. We were travelling with our two adult children, their husbands and our 20 month old granddaughter. The house sits right across a small driveway from the lake, and has great views from the deck, which was a perfect place for morning coffee. My daughter loved lounging in the hammock on the deck with a book. 5 kayaks were provided (we brought a sixth) and so we were all able to kayak the lake in the early mornings. The house has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen has plenty of plates, cups and bowls, as well as cooking pots and pans. All were of high quality and easy to clean. The towels provided were fluffy and soft as well. There are plenty of beds and all the mattresses were comfortable, and multiple pillows were provided for all of them. Ludlow is centrally located and this house allowed us to visit Bromley to the south and Killington to the north without travelling more than 45 minutes to either place. There are plenty of restaurants and shoos in the local area. We travelled after terrible flooding in Ludlow, so the local grocery store was closed due to damage, but there are many general stores to pick up needed items. We did have a few questions (and a small problem with a hungry bear!) and Michael, the owner, was easy to contact and was very quick to respond. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this house. We look forward to staying here again.

Fantastic!

Our stay at this property was great. It is just as described and is less than 10 minutes to the Jackson Gore base. Michael was responsive and answered our questions leading up to check-in. We have stayed at many rentals and can easily say the kitchen at Mabel’s was the best stocked in terms of dishes, pans, utensils, etc. We had 3 small children who loved the sleeping loft area. We would definitely stay at this property again!
