The host was very communicative, the home was very clean when we arrived, the view of the Columbia River and the hills of Oregon is beautiful, and the location provides easy access to hiking, breweries and wineries are within a reasonable drive, and several yummy restaurants are nearby. Thank you for a great stay!
Fun layout with two spacious living areas with a wonderful view. This house is clearly post-reno and it was very comfortable, clean, updated, and had a plethora or seating/gathering options. There also were lots of toys/games for children and 4 full bathrooms. Only drawbacks, I really wish there was a hot tub. You can tell there used to be one, so maybe there were some logistical issues with keeping it but it sure would be a cherry on top. Either way, a lovely home to stay in.
We had a great stay at wind view in Lyle. It was a great location for us to be able to explore the Columbia river. The house was extremely comfortable. The view was absolutely amazing. The kitchen sucked well and was great for cooking. definitely suggest going to white salmon, a town nearby, it has great restaurants, a nice grocery store and an awesome bakery. We would absolutely stay again.
Amazing views and plenty of space.Great to have more than one best as well, even if itâs only two people.A fair deal considering it was off-season and just the 2 of us overnight. The host was very accommodating and gracious! If the weather was better at the outdoor spaces, wouldâve been incredible to access and appreciate!Appreciate having the extra bath amenities if needed such as shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and hairdryerComfortable bedding be sure to check on the bed sizes if youâre looking for king.Certainly a great place if youâre traveling with kids as they have made considerations for them in terms of portable crib and some toys.Caution- there is no door leading to the basement that could post a problem for young children and toddlers.Overall would stay again without hesitation!
Nice home and a view that never gets old. It would be a great addition to ambiance if lights in firepace had worked (batteries needed replaced)...or put something in that doesn't need batteries. Excellent coffee shop nearby and the winery we visited, we had all to ourselves. Hope to come back again.
Great home base for exploring waterfalls and vineyards in the gorge with awesome views. Comfortable beds with different pillow options and good water pressure in the shower. Enjoyed watching trains from end to end across the river and wildlife (deer and birds) right outside the property.Cons:-WIFI - although we were able to connect to the WIFI, all of our phones had better service when using cellular data instead.-Shower heads were low so if you're around 5'8 or taller you'd have to duck to wash your hair. The shower curtain was hung too low in the hallway bathroom so it was a bit of a tripping hazard both inside and outside of the shower.-Windows in the main living space were pretty dirty. Although photos show great views, they were best when experienced on the outside deck.
House entrance extremely uninviting dirty, cobwebs..House windows dirty, cobwebs everywhere.. garbage cans all over top of yard/bags.. we were even asked by a neighbor to remove them.. told them not ours..Cobwebs in bathroom shower..Definitely needs yard maintenance and new house cleaners..
Very spacious! The kitchen was very well equipped. Loved having fresh coffee beans with a grinder instead of pre-ground coffee. The views are incredible and being up on the hill gets a fantastic breeze on the deck. The town itself doesnât have as much to offer as some of the towns further west but overall a very nice place to stay.
