The property was a perfect setting for my husband and me, children and spouses and grandchildren. We appreciated the care from our hosts in having all the little extras available, a lovely cheese plate and warm welcome. Will recommend to our friends as close to eating spots and barosssa highlights. Thank you !
Lyndoch Grand is a magnificent historic building in a great central location in Lyndoch, beautifully furnished with local antiques. We stayed here as a group of 12 for 3 nights, a home base from which to explore the Barossa Valley. It's also an easy walk to the local IGA, cafes, bakeries, restaurants and brewery. The weather was extremely hot during our stay but the house was cool and refreshing. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking, and the communal areas were great for hanging out, highlights being the long dining table and the pool room upstairs. The beds were very comfortable. Darren and Robyn were excellent hosts - friendly and communicative before, during, and after our stay. Thank you!
A big property with loads of history and a great vibe that accommodated a large group of friends, with wonderful creature comforts such as a Nespresso and a huge range of tea, with a lovely cheese platter awaiting us. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and were very helpful when I realised Iâd left behind my earrings!! I highly recommend!!
Fabulous house for our group to spend a few days reconnecting, eating and drinking, laughing, chatting and enjoying the Barossa. So comfortable for a big group with so much space to spread out. Kitchen is stocked with all you need - and the lovely big welcome platter was wonderful. Really recommend!!
Lovely place to stay with family or friends . Well equipped with fantastic welcome platter, friendly helpful host and great location from which to explore the Barossa
We could not have enjoyed it more. The place is like living in art. So much history and all shared by Darren the friendly owner. The rooms are so eclectic and special to stay in.
Enough space for many people, and also places to sneek away for introverts like me. I would recommend to anyone.
We loved our stay at Lyndoch Grand. Darren and Robyn are amazing hosts. The property in itself was spectacular and was made even more special through getting to know the history, which Darren very kindly took time to explain.
All the essentials we needed for our stay was readily available and Robyn even went the extra mile to prepare a welcome platter with local produce which was delicious. We had the best time and couldnât have asked for more from Darren and Robyn.
I highly recommend Lyndoch Grand if youâre looking for a place to base yourself and explore the beautiful Barossa Valley region.
We were a group of 11 with other family also staying in other Lyndoch accommodation. The house was excellent for our requirements, comfortable rooms, lots of areas for groups of people, particularly the pool room. Lots of character and nice and warm even in the middle of July! The welcome platter was a lovely gesture and we highly recommend this historic accommodation. Very convenient for local wineries and the Ministry of Beer plus supermarket and Lord Lyndoch restaurant,
We are return visitors to this beautiful property. It has wonderful space yet still has the feel of a cozy home. We spent a lot of time outside admiring the lovely backyard. The hosts are extremely accommodating with wonderful communication, they have passion for this property too. We will likely be back.
Darren, again we really enjoyed spending a long weekend at your property and will always be our go to spot when doing our trips to Barossa area.
Cheers
Steve
Our group of 10 adults loved our 3 night stay in a piece of history. All facilies needed for in house activities, plenty of kitchen and pantry items including welcome platter, teas and coffees, condiments and lots of tea towels. Close to eats, pub and wineries.
We had 8 of us staying, rooms were great, facilities were great, we didn't need to bring much with us. Great location and nice to not have to worry about neighbours around. We had a great time and would definitely stay there again,
Our group of 13 had the best weekend away staying in this gorgeous historic grand villa! Every room was immaculately clean with great attention to detail. Perfect location surrounded by gorgeous gardens. Our host, Darren was fantastic to deal with, very welcoming & nothing was too much trouble. Weâd highly recommend staying here & weâll definitely be back next year!!
We were a group coming together from around Australia to celebrate an 80th Birthday. Darren and his wife were the perfect hosts and the property was incredible. The kitchen was stocked for us including and amazing platter of cheeses and salamis and fruit etc. It is an old property that has been renovated to keep the feeling of the past and is roomy and comfortable. The pool table was great too. This property is a terrific option for a group and will make you feel you have stepped back in time. Thanks so much Darren - you made the weekend!
Excellent property for a large group and great location to amenities and wineries. We had such a great time we are planning to come back and do it again next year. Darren is a great host and a good communicator through it and he provided a lovely platter on arrival
Communication and support from the the host was excellent and we really valued the warm welcome. The kitchen was well stocked for people who love to cook and the pool table provided hours of fun. As the weather was very hot the Inn provided a cool respite and we enjoyed the garden. Would recommend it to people who want to explore the Barossa.
Great place in a really lovely town in heart of Baroosa Valley.
Staying here was a great experience. Darren was really good to deal with especially with the uncertainty of covid. Fabulous historic home with a lovely garden.
