La Terrasse - MORNANT

Very easily accessed, South West from Lyon and about 2 km from the center of Mornant (a lovely medieval village), the gîte 'La Terrasse' is located in hamlet called 'La Grange à Gonin'. Guests will enjoy the simplicity of accommodation and peaceful countryside setting with hiking trails nearby. The gîte is laid out in part of buildings alos comprising several lodgings (including that of owner's son). The owner lives nearby, in same property. Upstairs (outside stairs) : entrance hall, living-room opening onto terrace (kitchen area, dining area, sofa). 2 connecting rooms (1 bedroom with 2 single beds and direct access to terrace, 1 bedroom with double bed), shower room including Wc. Oil-fired central heating. Cot on request. Outdoors : large private and raised terrace (gate-locked), with lovely views of the countryside and Mount Pilat, garden furniture, deck chairs, sunshade, private charcoal barbecue. Many green areas with trees available (shared), swing, boules alley, tennis court, fishing pond. Parking. Warm welcome assured by Joseph, a retired farmer. He is fond of mechanics and collects vintage tractors and vintage cars (after having repaired them,). On request, he can show you his 'treasures' and tell you their whole story. Lyon downtown 28 km away.
