Disappointing Stay – Noisy and Inconvenient If you're looking for a restful night’s sleep, avoid this place. The property has no elevator, so I had to haul my heavy luggage up to the third floor. The staff lacked the hospitality to make guests feel welcome or valued. The worst part? The noise. The property has zero noise insulation, making it impossible to sleep at night. Between the bar’s late-night deliveries, loud street cleaning at 2–3 AM, and constant chatter from the street, it felt like sleeping in the middle of a busy road. If you’re planning to sleep during the day, you might be fine. But if you need a peaceful night's sleep, stay elsewhere.

We loved the location of the property. It was close to things we wanted to see and walk to. It felt safe. The apartment was very small. There wasn't a lot of room to open a suitcase unless you put it on the bed. We were utilizing the sofa bed and that left no floor space. Sadly, this property was very loud at night. There is no elevator, so you hear guests going up and down the stairs, talking, singing, banging, you name it. The hallway light is motion activated and turns on and off all night, as well. I cant tell you how many times I woke up from multiple interruptions. Still, the place had everything needed for a stay in Madrid.

Amazing place to stay

Excellent hotel. Very clean and well kept. Microwave did not work and have to be careful of the a several parole in your party taking showers as the hot water tank is on the small side.

La localización de la propiedad es excelente para explorar el centro de Madrid. El área tiene muchos lugares de comer cercanos, es un poco ruidoso en las noches. El apartamento no es muy grande pero es bastante cómodo para tres personas, tiene lavadora/secadora, la cual no seca completamente la ropa pero tienen un pequeño tendedero para poder terminar secar.

It was ok. Check in time was 3pm. We weren't able to check in until 4:30pm. It had a washer and dryer that was good. It was noisy in the morning I think it’s also a place of residence? It met all our needs.

Hotel it self was ok. they have a big construction trash bin right outiside. I know thats temprary..... Room, i like all the amenities provided, coffee, tea, and all the fixes. laundy in the room, full kitchen, The only part was the safe didn't have batteries, i got a key from the front desk, but it was the wrong key. communication its through WhatsApp and very inconvenience since they don't reply. other thank that we loved it.

This is a good property for long stay. Especially with family. But if you intend to drive around yourself, there is no parking. The Gran Via is at walking distance which is very good.

The building is old and rundown as well as the appliances. My main issue however was with the cleaning products they used. A potent bleach whose stench wouldn’t let the room for hours even though I left the window and fan running. I could not stay a single night and had to find another place. Place is relatively cheap but you get what you pay for and in my case, I ended up paying for the mistake of choosing this location.

This was our second time staying at the Gran Central. This time in a different building. The place accommodated our 5 person family well. There were plenty of sheets and towels which is often a problem when traveling as a large family. I love the central location of the apartment. A small side not there is no elevator in this building if that is a problem. Their other building did have an elevator. The A/C works great :) That is important in August!

Don’t expect too much & you won’t be disappointe

If you don’t plan on spending a lot of time at the apartment, this will work for you. The place is a bit run down and it’s not the cleanest. A bit noisy at night and the space is not big. The AC worked amazing and let’s be honest, for this price, you can’t beat it. The WiFi worked, the hot water was there and most importantly you are very centrally located and walking distance to it all! Would recommend if you are 2’people and not too picky about minor details like listed above. Front desk was great and informative! It definitely did its job and it’s like this throughout Madrid!

My wife and two children stayed at this hotel. The coordination for the check in was conveniently done via WhatsApp with no problems. Big area for the amount paid; it was a whole flat. The washer was a great plus and the location is great. Walking distance to the metro station, restaurants and convenient shopping places.
