The location was absolutely fabulous - round the corner from some really great tapas and wine bars. Walkable to basically everything (depending on how much of a keen walker you are) and felt really safe. We had a superior room which faced the pedestrian-only road and it was lovely. The only issue was that the walls are a bit too thin for our liking (we could hear word for word the conversation of our neighbours next door but luckily we only had neighbours on one side - I think I would have gone insane if we had neighbours on both sides based on how thin the walls are!). Nevertheless, I would still highly recommend this hotel based on the location alone as it really was in a great spot in Madrid!

The location was perfect! I was disappointed in the size of my room as was given the impression that the rooms were much larger. It also has the “half door” shower that seems to be popular in Spain. So I could not get a hot shower. Nice facility though with excellent staff and perfect location. I was able to walk to the Sofia and many nice restaurants.

Excellent location close to everything. There’s some construction in the street in front of the hotel, which may impede transportation to or from the front door of the hotel. Breakfast is decent but probably not worth the price.

The Room Mate Alba is a great hotel in the lovely barrio de las letras in Madrid. It has all the conveniences of being near the main tourist attractions in the city, while feeling like a quiet escape from the crowds. The rooms are soundproofed, the AC is great, the breakfast amazing and the staff are lovely and helpful. Highly recommended.

The hotel is “funky”. The decoration is dark. The room was comfortable, clean and the bathroom small but nice with a great shower, but the decor a bit peculiar. The location of the hotel is terrific, but we had a hard time finding it because it is on a pedestrian street.

The hotel is amazing, very large and modern rooms, incredible staff and service. Walking distance to everything and plenty of restaurants surrounding the hotel. Although there was construction directly outside the front and jackhammering all day, every day until early evening. That was the only downside.
