Nestled in a dream setting between ocean and palm trees is found l'Escapade beach villa with one hundred and fifty meters of white sandy beach with crystal clear turquoise ocean beachfront which can be enjoyed from the veranda. It is a paradisiac beach Villa set along the South-East Coast of Mahe, approximately 6.4 kilometres/15 minutes drive along the coastal road south of the Seychelles International Airport.
The Villa is composed of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large Beach Front veranda, large garden ideal for BBQ, Large well-equipped Kitchen, Lounge. TV, internet connections plus WiFi.

Amazing Beach Villa

This is exactly what we were dreaming about! Spacious villa just next to the beach where you can enjoy privacy. Kitchen is really well equipped. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Garage. And coconut palms everywhere! Absolutely recommended!!

Lovely house by the sea

Well equipped, homey comfortable house with an incredible view of the sea. Outside patio is perfect for watching sunrises. Property owners were wonderful in making sure all our needs were being met throughout our stay. They were warm, kind & continually reached out to us.The property's groundskeeper and assistant Charles made himself available anytime we needed something and was exceptionally helpful with daily maintenance & needs no matter how small. Truly a memorable experience!

Awesome ! Wonderful holiday

Starting with the very friendly welcome by the owner and the other "good soul" of the property (Charlie), we were delighted with the spaciousness of the house and rooms. Everything we needed was there. The location of the house directly on the sea is fantastic - it doesn't get any better than this. It was fantastic to walk directly from the deck chair into the warm water. The tide is out, so baths that make snorkelling possible are only available in the morning or late afternoon. However, as there are many other beaches on Mahè that invite snorkelling, this was not a problem for us. So we saw the ocean right in front of the door as our very big bathtub :-) There are 5 dogs on the property, but they are very trusting and lovable and made us feel safe. I will miss the dogs very much, especially "Sheba". My special thanks also go to Charlie, who was always very hard-working and thoroughly cleaned our entire house every 2 days, thus also ensuring a well-kept ambience on the property. He was always there to help and advise. I can only recommend a stay at Beachvilla Escapade! There is no better way to relax if you value individuality and do not favour hotels. The only negative point of criticism is the traffic on Mahè - the drivers seem very inconsiderate and impatient. In the dark, special care was needed, because there are hardly any pavements and people walk on the street and especially on bends, which are plentiful, you often only see the passers-by at the last moment. This was very exhausting and put the recreational value into perspective somewhat. I also find the bus drivers almost dangerous. But Beachvilla Escapade can't do anything about that, so this should not be included in my overall rating of the accommodation. Those who like daredevil driving or rent a very stable rental car may see this differently. In any case, I would go on holiday at Beachvilla Escapade again! Thank you Begum, thank you Charlie.

Quiet beautiful safe house to spend a relaxing holiday

I had great communication with the owners who even contacted us in the UK before we left to confirm everything was ok our end and they arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport. The property is right on the beach which although is public (like all the beaches in the Seychelles) we only saw a couple of tourists going for a run so it feels very private. It is very safe and Charles who lives next door occasionally popped in to see we were ok. The owners also live in the next property but don’t intrude on your privacy. The locals in the area are very friendly and there are several good restaurants from cheap to more expensive within a short walk away. The house is fully equipped with everything you need. WiFi and 4G can be a problem in the Seychelles if you come from the UK because our phones have strong security settings so don’t rely on getting it at the house or in a lot of locations on the Island. To me this was a bonus because I could switch off and enjoy the scenery but if you are heavily dependent on your phone you could feel too cut off.

We greatly enjoyed our holiday at L’ Escapade! The rooms were super comfy and fit our family well. The location cannot be beat! Our hosts were so lovely and friendly and Charles helped us get coconuts to enjoy! The kids swam on the reef and loved playing with the dogs. We are already trying to plan our next trip back!

Waterside Wonder

On arrival we were pleasantly surprised that the property presented better than photos suggested in the listing. Joel greeted us and gave us a tour of the property. We were not expecting 5* hotel quality standards, if you are this is not the property for you. This property is for those that appreciate simpler things and want to enjoy a rustic cottage with perfect access to beach and water. Charles the grounds keeper was welcoming and regularly cut fresh coconuts for us to drink. We loved that! The property is an older house but is well laid out. The kitchen has everything you need to entertain and feed a large family. There is a coffee perculator that made great coffee that I used every day. There were juicer and blender, large fridge and freezer, lots of pots, pans, cooking utensils and cutlery. We found the Weber BBQ very useful and ate outdoors most nights. We only used the master bedroom and can say the bed was very comfortable. There were sunloungers and a hammock outside that we used alot. Plenty of shade under the verandah for keeping out of the sun if you want to. It rained quite a bit during our stay but that did not spoil anything for us, we enjoyed the property all the same and made for some spectacular sunsets and evening walks. In terms of location, could not get better access to the airport while being far enough away not to be disturbed by any air traffic. Only 6km from airport, a very easy 15 minute drive. The property has a garage and Charles mans the gate. The beach in front of the house is excellent, it is the best part of beach in my opinion in over 2 km of beachfront. The property is also conveniently located a short drive away to some other picturesque and great beaches to the south. I actually preferred to stay at the beach at the house as very few people came past and we were there for privacy. For the most part we got it. Joel offered for us to go out in the boat but we were enjoying splashing around we didn't take him up of the offer this time. The only challenge we had was with very restricted wifi. Got good signal from house wifi but could not get enough data out of it to load a web page during our stay. Not a problem for us on the whole as we came to get away from technology, but prevented us using for organising onward travel easily, had to use phone. Fantastic little place, just what the doctor ordered. I would not hesitate to stay with Joel at L'escapade again for any future stays in Seychelles.

Great Location, comfortable house!

We really enjoyed our stay at L'Escapade! The house was quaint and Moderately rustic. It felt like we were in a nice cabin in the woods, but with beach access. We compared prices all around the island and this was the best deal for the quality of the house. If you are looking for a quite, beach get-away this house if perfect. The beach is nice and the caretaker comes by in the morning to rake the seaweed away that has accumulated from the high tide. The water is shallow and warm for a ways out. Even though the other side of the beach has more pristine beaches, you are surrounded with a lot of tourists and the prices are almost double the cost of L'Escapade. If you stay at this location, I recommend renting a car so that you can explore the island and go out to eat or get to the grocery store. When we arrived the house was immaculate. The care takers are instructed to come every 2 days to clean. The house provides 2 towels a person. If you want an extra towel or a larger beach towel I suggest you bring one of your own along. The only thing that I can say that was sightly bothersome is the wife of the care taker was around a lot and was very curious about us and where we are from etc. Not so much of a big deal, but when you are looking for solitude - having daily conversations about what you are doing got to be cumbersome. With all of that said- she is a very nice lady. There are dogs on the property. They were well-behaved for the most part and very friendly. I would definitely choose this location for the price and comfort again if I ever decide to return to the Seychelles.

perfect beach holiday spot

Cottages actually on the beach are few and far between on Mahe and this one couldn't be more "on the beach". Because of this, it is mostly not available. I found 8 days free and booked the rest of our Seychelles holiday around this booking. The house is so well maintained and cared for with much love. Arrived to well stocked fridge with breakfast essentials and the best equipped kitchen we have ever found in our many travels. Grateful thanks to Joel and begum for assisting us to bring in more money as we had been robbed of all our funds and cards at our previous location. Dont ever hesitate to book this amazing place if you find it available.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks at the villa, Joel was there to welcome us and we straight away felt at home. The villa is truly amazing with everything you could possibly need and wow what a beach the children just sent hours playing in the calm shallow ocean.Sied was great always willing to help and kept the beach etc perfect, even got the washing in when it rained. True paradise

Absolutely amazing beach villa with beautiful private beach just in front, ideal for a relaxing swim or snorkelling. We spent 2 weeks here and that wasn't even nearly enough. We fell in love with your dogs, they were so sweet and spent much time with us swimming and relaxing. Thank you so much for everything Joel, Begum and Said. Can't wait to come back next winter!

Good memories were made in this little corner of Paradise!

What a holiday!!!! For 2 years I searched for that special place for 8 family members and friends to get together to celebrate my 60th birthday and we were not disappointed, it was everything we dreamed of and more and I am so happy we decided on this gem. Right from the time we arrived in the Seychelles Joel made sure we were looked after and comfortable. He arranged the taxi on arrival, car hire and taxi back on the day of departure. The house is serviced every second day by a lovely lady who is so friendly. Saiid who lives on the property is there to assist and we cannot praise him enough, thank you Saiid for everything. The pictures do not do the house and beach justice. The house is clean, spacious and very comfortable with everything you need. The beach is fantastic and the snorkeling was amazing. Having your own bit of beach was such a bonus. Getting up to watch the sunrise every morning was well worth it. No two mornings were the same. Going to sleep to the sound of the ocean and waking up to it was just what we needed. There are 4 dogs who are adorable, relaxed and do not have an aggressive bone in their bodies. During the day they play in the sea in front of Joel and Begums house and have such fun and at night they would stroll over to spend some time with us. They are very well behaved and we looked forward to their visits in the evening. The only concern I have is if I praise the house and beach too much everyone will want to come to this amazing little bit of paradise and we might have to wait too long before we could get another booking. Joel and Begum thank you for everything it was the most amazing holiday and we would love to come back again if you will have us.

Paradise Found!

Stayed for 3 weeks,17th. Feb. to 9th. March 2017.Location perfect,it is on the beach. Villa very well equipped.Clean&tidy on arrival.Beds very comfortable.Housemaid three times a week.Ideally located for all amenities available on Mahe.Supermarkets and bars nearby as well.We did have a hire car so everywhere on the island was literally within 30 mins drive.Would definitely return in the future and recommend L`Escapade Villa.If there were negatives it was the lack of satelliie tv and the presence of the owners dogs.The tv was a disappointment for our son and although the dogs were not a problem with us,I could see that some people may not be comfortable with this. Overall a most enjoyable stay and would go back in a flash! Thank youJoel and Begum.

Perfekt!

Wir waren als Familie in dem wunderschönen Haus am Strand. Das Haus war sehr sauber, wurde regelmäßig gereinigt von dem unglaublichen freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Charles. Die Zimmer, die Betten: alles war perfekt. Es gab jeden Tag frische Früchte/Kokosnuss, auch wieder von Charles. Es war wie im Paradies.Die Lage des Hauses war unbeschreiblich. Der Strand war direkt vor der Terrasse. Nicht zu vergessen die 3 tollen und lieben Hunde, die das Grundstück bewachen. Man fühlte sich sehr, sehr sicher dort.

10-day Beach Villa stay

Begum and Charles as well as the three dogs made this stay unique.As the dogs accompanied us throughout the day and night Begum and Charles were always there when needed.They both helped whenever they could. Both of them are very kind hearted and generous. The house is located at a beautiful beach. It looks just like the pictures! The villa is very spacey and well equipped. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious living and kitchen area. The beds were very comfortable!I am pretty sure that this villa was a true gem 10 years ago, but in our opinion it needs some renovation work to make it shine again.All in all we loved the stay! The hospitality that Begum and Charles provided is rare to find. Even though we might criticize the condition of the villa a bit, we still highly recommend a stay!Thank you for everything :)
