The farmhouse is located in Freudenholm, between Eutin, Schönwalde, and Malente. This historic former customs house sits in an idyllic spot on a riding farm in the Holstein Switzerland region. The lovingly furnished 19 sqm apartment is suitable for 1–2 guests and features two connected rooms with a dining area, kitchenette, table, chairs, shelves, a small wardrobe, an armchair, and a pull-out bed. The WC with a small washbasin is located across the hall, and the shower is in the former washhouse of the main building. Amenities include Wi-Fi suitable for video calls, a kitchenette with stove and oven, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, and a shared washing machine. An overnight stay for a second person is possible upon prior arrangement with the hosts.
The property is on the edge of a forest, and a swimming lake is within walking distance. You are welcome to bring your own horse, as the farmhouse is part of a riding farm. The 300-year-old farmhouse has a small, renovated apartment that is rustic and simple—please do not expect luxury, except for the beautiful setting and history!
There is one shared parking space on site, as well as a communal charging station for electric cars. One pet is allowed for an additional fee. Please note that events are not permitted on the property. The hosts live on the premises but not in the booked accommodation.
Situated between the rose town of Eutin and Schönwalde, there is much to discover. Riding, trail rides, and riding lessons are offered directly on the farm. The Baltic Sea beaches are about 20 minutes away by car, and there are many cafés, restaurants, and attractions nearby.
