Check-in was really good, the staff were really friendly and helpful.
The location was great for the Co-Op live arena, there’s a tram stop just across the street or it’s around a 25 minute walk.
The city centre was about 20 mins walk
Victoria Station around 30 mins walk
The Room……. The bed was so uncomfortable, the bathroom looked like a care home.
It was clean enough but not great, i suppose for 1 night if you’re not spending much time in there it’s ok.
There’s no fridge but was a hairdryer and hangers
Ladies and gents, there was no mirror other than the bathroom, so if you’re going for a night out getting ready wasnt great, the lighting was terrible, maybe we were unlucky the other rooms could be better.
The lifts are pretty rickety……
I had booked for another gig but I’ll be cancelling and will probably stay in the hotel over the road.
Nice hotel, convenient for Co-Op Live, but there's nothing much in the Pollard Street area, you'll have to head into town for any decent eateries.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Fine for one night.
Reception was excellent. Room was small with an awkward bunk bed over the double which limited headroom. Bedding was clean and comfortable. We hired a tea tray for £3.50, good value. Breakfast was ok. WiFi was very good. Good position for concerts with only a 30 minute walk to Coop Live .
Stayed here for a concert at the co-op live was a tram over the road a short distance away but we decided to give it a walk first as we hadn’t been there before, the signs say 10 minute walk but it was actually more like 20-25 minutes. And to walk the long way around takes even longer. Anyway we caught the tram back to the hotel and then once at the arena later that night we got the tram back to the arena. It was busy as expected but quicker than walking. We did however walk back again to the hotel a different way after the concert which worked out a lot quicker. The hotel room is basic you have a bed (twin) for us which was very close together, separate shower and toilet and the sink is in the room itself. No kettle or coffee/tea making facilities which we knew about. You can buy a tray for this for £3.50 from reception. They have basic food in the hotel cooked on request. Breakfast was a basic continental, although there wasn’t really enough seating space to cater for everyone. I would stay here again just for how easy is it for the arena, although there is very little amenities around the arena for food and drink, I won’t be going back to that arena if I can help it. They need to build more hotels and food facilities as there is only a Asda and McDonald’s but it’s a fair walk. The hotel is walking distance from Piccadilly station but getting The tram would be easier we just walked to see what was about.
What an absolute gem of a hotel it’s close to the metro if you’re going to Manchester City or the coop live arena it’s just 2 stops away. We will definitely stay here again for the next concert

Exactly as it says Budget hotel so basic but very clean, good service and ideal for the night
Nice clean hotel, convenient for Coop Live. Costa and Dominos next door but otherwise limited eating options and I couldn’t get parked due to football match. Luckily Reception let me park in the staff car park until 10pm when a space was finally free in the public car park.
A good option for when you’re not bothered about the frills when staying somewhere. Had the basics and was in good condition. Very easy to get to from the city centre and close to the Etihad Campus, very walkable. Some lights not working in the room but not really bothered on this as we just needed to sleep.
Overral brilliant stay for the price of the room. Was in Manchester for a concert at Co-Op Live Arena & was so convenient as this Ibis is so close, the room was perfect for the price, beds were very comfortable & it was a 5 minute walk from a Sainsbury’s. 5/5 :)
