Customer service terrible

I booked the Radisson as it was in the city centre and I've used Radison before always been excellent. However on arriving the receptionist wasn't very friendly and didn't smile wish I had got her name but she wasn't English . When we got to our room we expected bottles of water as most hotels provide this . I paid extra for breakfast which was a buffet We was shown to our table there was no mention that if you want poached or fried eggs you have to order them . So we went to the buffet the plates was small and not warm. We got bacon sausage etc when it came to the eggs there was only scrambled eggs and hard boiled. We asked the lady at the desk and she said you have to order them . That they would take 10 minutes by which time we had eaten everything else rather than let it go cold . Our eggs came 15 minutes later. I asked the lady at the desk why the plates was so small she the food and beverage manager said that it would stop people taking too much . We spoke to the food and beverage manager and said that they couldn't tell everyone that they had to order eggs . He wasn't interested and just walked off very rude . Overall the the staff and the food spoilt our experience at the hotel and if I did stay there again I wouldn't be having breakfast as it's not cheap.

As a rare night away from 2 young kids we were hopeful to get a good nights sleep. Unfortunately, the doors of peoples rooms were banging all night (and I mean all hours of the night!!) which resulted in very little sleep; even less than I would have gotten at home! When I mentioned this at reception, the lady I spoke to wasn't as empathic as I would have hoped. I understand the doors need to be fire safe but there are solutions to help reduce noise levels and ensure people can sleep well at night. Breakfast had a good selection, pastries were yummy and fresh. Unfortunately the cooked breakfast was luke-warm despite being on hot plates.

This is one amazing hotel in Manchester. The check in was very quick and the suite was spacious. Bar and restaurant are very good and NCP car park is nearby. Had amazing time

NOT the best check-in experience...

Reception looked quite blank when I enquired if they had a reservation in my name. After saying it 3 times, and spelling 'K-i-l..' I was asked was I part of a group? And yes, I booked 3 rooms; another Kilgallen and a McG___. Eventually he replied, 'I have a booking for Bryan..?' Bearing in mind we'd been given a lift to our local train station, found all trains cancelled, an Uber back home, drove to the hotel etc,etc...If we'd taken the replacement bus service, we'd be having this conversation at 2.30am and then I would have been mad!!

We have had a lovely stay. It was just for one night so a very brief trip. The hotel refurbishment is amazing. Our room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. We will stay again when we are next in Manchester

Check-in was swift and easy. Aircon in room wasn’t so cool in this heat and made my night sleep a bit uncomfortable. My room wasn’t tidied after I got back from my conference and I had to go to reception to request for my room to be tidied. On going back it was only my bed that was made, there was not enough body wash in the bathroom, luckily I came with mine. The door slams shut when coming out or going in. The speed at which a self-closing door should close is typically adjusted to fall within a range of 3 to 25 seconds, from a 90-degree open position to fully closed. This range ensures sufficient time for safe passage while adhering to fire safety standards. There was also a smell of electrical wire overheating as you walk into the restaurant. A little tweak and it’ll have made for a brilliant stay.
