The hotel is very stylish with a nice bar in a fab location near Chinatown and Oxford Road train station. Convenient bus stop right outside too that goes straight to the Trafford Centre. 15 minute walk to all the main shops in the centre. Our room was large and beautifully decorated and quiet, I would definitely stay again.

Voco has surpassed Brooklyn

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was perfect and the location was flawless. My only downside criticism was that the tv wouldnt work on hotels Wifi as I wanted to watch Netflix and when I asked the staff, they said it dont work as only basic channels are allowed which was annoying but nevertherless I had an amazing night in the city

Great hotel

Great hotel nice friendly staff very helpful. We stayed in a twin room plenty of room for 2 adults very quiet rooms sound proofed . Breakfast was good nice selection of foods also gluten free offered . Hotel was within walking distance to train station and Arndale Centre. We would definitely stay again .

Friendly staff, excellent breakfasts, comfy beds. Quiet hotel just across from China town, 5 mins walk into central Manchester, 10 mins from the station.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the vibes from the DJ playing by the bar on Saturday night. Food was good. Room was comfortable. Did not hear noise at night from doors shutting and other rooms. Car park was 3/4 minutes walk from the hotel. Only downsides were they had run out of crisps at the bar so no late night snacks. Short staffed in the kitchen for breakfast so had to wait for some food to be cooked and restocked (about 15 minutes) so partner had finished his way before mine had been cooked. Overall a very pleasant stay.

For the amount you pay, you’d think you’ll get more. The balcony rooms are on the 1st floor, so you don’t get much of a view, rather disappointed.

Lovely hotel, but wouldn’t go back

Lovely hotel, but the heating system made a noise all night, even though not on in our room. It was a constant noise so didn’t bother my OH, but was loud enough to disturb my sleep. A real shame as the room and beds were great, and the hotel well located and reasonably priced. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, we weren’t told of the al a carte options, and no one came to ask if we wanted anything, I had to go and disturb a wait staff to order. The self service buffet was OK, the first day everything had been sat under a heat lamp too long so was dried out, but OH enjoyed it the second day.

The room was lovely and spacious but some of the items were showing wear and tear. USB sockets not working. Room was at the rear which is near to a club which was playing loud music until 3am. I know that in the city it’s hard to keep noise down completely but the property would likely have know this was a noisy room and did not warn me or offer an alternative. When raising these issues with the property the morning after, they did not seem to be bothered about offering any recompense for these issues, only offering to do in a repeat visit which will be unlikely for me

I’ve stayed here quite a few times now, normally it’s clean. However this visit was very unclean and actually ruined our stay. The sink was blocked when we arrived and had to unblock it (ok these things Happen) the shower was dirty and all the black paint was all chipped away,. Our bedding had black dirty marks on it. We ordered room service and it was all cold. No matter how many good visits I’ve had here this one has made me not want to go back unfortunately. For the price you pay for one night you expect at least cleanliness to be brilliant
