The property was perfect for our stay. We hiked Cascade Pass, and thus, the location worked well for our stay. Although we did not have any cell reception (ATT), we planned accordingly and it was not an issue for us. Such a peaceful and beautiful location. Host was super responsive and provided excellent communication.
Perfect scenario for our North Cascade Park adventures
Our family of 6 loved everything about this set-up. It allowed us to enjoy some of the ambiance of camping but without having to fly from out of state with all our gear and real beds and indoor plumbing was a plus. The community where this lodging is located is beautiful, quiet and convenient access to the National Park which was our focus. There were a few issues that came up during our stay but Sarah, the property manager, was in regular communication with me and was quick to remedy what she could quickly. I asked her loads of questions throughout our stay related to the property and things to do in the area and she was always very helpful. We'd definitely come back again. As the listing says, it wouldn't be ideal for someone with mobility issues as the only negative is a lot of up and down between the main cabin and cooking area with running water, but otherwise no complaints.
The base camp for families was a wonderful place to stay while exploring Northern Cascade National Park which is close by. It was clean and comfortable with sleeping cabin and a cooking /bath/shower cabin. The host was very responsive to questions during our stay. There was just minor issue with the shower but Iâm sure it will be corrected before the next guest.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin and would do so again.
We loved the location in the forest close enough to the creek to hear the water flowing. Don't expect 5 stars as this is more clamping with 2 mini houses and an outdoor kitchen but a great little setup with a very responsive host.
Had 4 adults here for a multi-day hiking trip in NCNP. This served as a great base camp. It is exactly as advertised; don't expect anything other than a neat Spartan experience in a remote locale.
Prior to, and throughout the stay, communications with the host were thorough and professional. I really appreciated all the information.
Property met our needs well. We initially had a bit of confusion in which building was the sleeping room. Host was quickly responsive to message through vrbo. Was wonderful to have a hot shower and ability to do some cooking. Very cute, game table in the loft and some furniture clearly hand made & lovely. Wish we were staying more than one night!
This is fine if youre looking for a camping experience. The set up with the two buildings is weird but the listing is honest. I just didnt notice this unfortunately when I booked. There are other things where I feel the listing is inaccurate. It said internet and some ability to charge devices. There was no internet and the one outlet we found didnt work. We had a hard time finding the property and combing through all the various instructions that are in a large book when you get there and were not sent beforehand. For example, we spent probably 30 minutes messing with wires and switches trying to figure out how to turn on the cell phone service booster. To ask the host any questions involves driving into the Marblemount town where there still isnt really much cell service but a few restaurants have wifi. I was told in a message after booking that there were no linens but I was traveling from Arizona so wouldnt have brought linens with me. I thought the various demands to fully dry and put away the dishes, etc were unreasonable given there arent any towels. There are mice so you have to walk your trash out to a shed which is a third structure on the property. I actually didnt mind this, but think that some would. I did attempt to use the shower but couldnt get it the right temperature. At checkout, you're asking to basically clean everything including mopping which seems ridiculous given theres a $75 cleaning fee. Overall just didnt really enjoy.
Community and environs family friendly, rustic. Propane for showers snd outdoor burners a challenge to learn but a big step up from camping. Lots of steps up between two buildings. We loved our stay in cabins with decades of family use.
Unusual set up with kitchen and shower far apart from living quarters. Difficult to stay for more than few days.
No railing or steps for bunk beds. Dangerous settings.
