My accommodation was spacious and had all necessary amenities. The town is walking distance with a super market. Short drive to skiing, Rail trail and hiking. Parking in the municipal is a walk to load and unload car with luggage.
We will definitely be back next year, loved this small town and host, they are very prompt in response and extremely helpful, i would definitely stay here again!
I stayed here with my three friends for 3 nights. The apartment was very clean and cozy. It actually had 4 beds in the loft instead of 3 as they had listed. This was great so that my friends and I could all sleep in the same room. They provided us with a binder including a reminder of all the rules and policies, directions about things in the apartment, and recommendations on things to do in the area. Overall I loved the apartment itself. However, the area is very secluded. If you are looking to find any kind of chain department or food stores you will have to drive at least an hour. There are a few shops on the street that the apartment is located on, but it will take less than 3 hours to get through all of them. I wouldn't plan on making shopping a whole day activity unless you plan to wake up early and be able to spare an hour to drive to another town. All of the small shops in and around Margaretville close between 4-7 so plan to spend a good chunk of time in the apartment. I suggest staying for 3-4 nights and nothing longer unless you love to stay in and chill.
My friends and I went hiking at Kaaterskill Falls which is about an hour's drive from the apartment. However, it was definitely the highlight of my trip. The falls are beautiful and definitely worth the trip. I would also suggest going skiing at Belleayre Ski Lodge. I did not get the chance to go, but the prices are very low during the week. I think it would definitely be a great way to spend the day!
We stayed here for a weekend trip to visit friends nearby. Everything was clean and Sue was incredibly responsive and helpful for any questions we had. Definitely recommend!
We enjoyed the ducks on the creekside balcony, and yet easily walked to shopping and restaurants. Pleasant property manager, very responsive to our request for help.
Lovely and spacious (more spacious than the pictures make it look) loft apartment in downtown Margaretville overlooking the stream (with many, many ducks). Several different areas to hang out in, all outfitted with comfortable furniture. AC is super-efficient -- the window unit in the loft (bedroom) cools the whole place with ease. Property manager is very solicitous and responsive. Location is great -- all of Margaretville is walkable, with close access to trails and well-located between other attractive town areas (within half an hour you have Arkville, Fleischmanns, Andes, Roxbury, Prattsville, and Shandaken and a bit more than that but still not too far you have Phoenicia, Delhi, Windham, Hunter, and Tannersville). Between all those places, there are a lot of hikes and eats! Apt is on the creekside of the building, not main street -- noise was infrequent and not excessive. Will definitely stay again!
We enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean, and the description was accurate. It is in town and walking distance to the grocery store. Susan was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable.
Thank you
This is the second visit to Sue's property! The location was wonderful, right in town, near a grocery store, CVS, Bun & Cone diner, and many boutique shops! The amenities were plentiful, with coffee, tea, water bottles, and general spices. We loved
watching the ducks on the water just outside over the balcony.
This was a great experience. Location is close enough to Belleayre where weâre skiing. The space is clean and exactly as listed online. They even include some thoughtful touches that you may forget while traveling. Would stay here again when in the area and definitely recommend.
Property as pictured. Perfect location in the middle of the quaint town. Awesome having a fantastic coffee (espresso in my case) shop a couple of steps away to start the day. No issues communicating with Susan, the owner. Loved the hunting lodge feel of the place on the river.
This is an adorable place, cozy and comfy. The king size bed was very comfortable! The kitchen has just what we needed, coffee, tea, paper plates and Sue left water bottles in the fridge! We were able to walk to breakfast st the diner, Bun & Cone! There is a CVS & grocery store and little shops all within walking distance! We loved it and will be back!
We stayed at the apartment for a couple of nights and had a pleasant experience.
Its clean, quiet and cozy.
Susan was easy to communicate with and very helpful.
The entrance to the apartment is private from a deck which we used to sit down for breakfast and just to relax outside.
Parking is nit on the property, but there wasn't any issues with parking our car across the street.
I stayed at this property while passing through the area on a motorcycle trip. I am glad I picked it.
The process was seamless. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with a lovely view.
I will definitely stay here again when in the area.
Perfect place for a weekend ski trip. It is about 10 minutes to Belleayre and literally 20 steps to Binnekill Tavern which is one of our favorite restuarants in the area. The host was great and even went out of her way to find and return something we left behind. We highly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at this studio apartment in Margaretville. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a home base as we explored the Catskills over a long weekend. There are several restaurants and a grocery within walking distance--very convenient! Sue (the host) was great to work with--quick with communication and available to help during the stay--and she was very helpful when we needed to reschedule our trip. Thank you for a delightful, fun, and relaxing getaway!
Susan was really kind and easy to reach, flexible when my plans got a little shuffled! I stayed here to visit my daughter who is living with her dad in the Catskills, and she stayed with me a few nights. We loved the sleeping loft, the tidy little kitchen, and that we could walk to the grocery, the pharmacy, and some other little shops. Totally perfect.
