Moms, sisters, aunts, nieces and in-laws, this cabin was perfect! Lots of room for all our family fun and games. The surrounding area was very nice with several options to choose outdoor activities for all without having to leave or drive hours away.
We had an amazing time! Great place for a family reunion. Beautiful surroundings and a house in the woods with a hot tub and a fire pit is all you need. Beautiful home amazing memories.
We loved the cabin as well as the view! Plenty of space for our family of five.. . We spent a lot of time in front of the fire pit or playing games at the table . Part of our family flew in to the Asheville airport and it was only about 45 minutes to go get them . We really enjoyed our stay.
Great cabin getaway for us. Clean, in the heart of the mountains, loved the fishing pond, easy access to the highway to get to Asheville. The firepit and hot tub were both great. We loved it.
Secluded but easy to access, nice fishing pond, close enough to Asheville for a day trip. Only negative was lack of split wood for fires. We did find scraps in what used to be a wood pile and fallen timber in the woods for use. Great experience overall.
This well-built, luxury "cabin" was a great home base for our friends group. The well-stocked kitchen enabled us to cook all our breakfasts and dinners in and make lunches for our hikes and bike rides. The hot tub soothed sore muscles at day's end. The living room and all the bedrooms were cozy and the whole house was fashionably decorated and furnished. Rachel's communications were perfect. We will definitely stay again if we return to the area!
My getaway to this cabin was a great experience! The home was clean and inviting and sits on beautiful property. I really enjoyed relaxing, taking in the views over the lake from the porch and waking up to a nice wooded view from the bedroom balcony. Candace is a fantastic, responsive host who answered all my questions about my stay.
And it was convenient to both the nearby ski resort and the Appalachian trail at Sam's Gap. It was great to get in some hiking and snowboarding.
Hope to be back soon and introduce more friends and family to this retreat.
Owner changed the key code and forgot to tell us so that we were not able to lock the property. His response time was curious at best. Owner should be attentive to light bulbs, and the cleanliness of the interior of the property. Itâs a HREAT spot just could use some TLC. Thanks
The property area is beautiful and very peaceful. The owner/ manager is great, very friendly, attentive, helpful, and easy to reach for any of our needs or questions. Family had a great time.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful, however, the property it sat on was paradise. Steve is a great host. He was very thorough, and he here if you needed him. Arrive for your first time in the light of day. Would be a bit difficult to navigate at night if your first time there. But once you have arrived, absolutely worth the drive up the mountain.
This was a great place to relax, read and watch a football game if you wanted. Steve was a great landlordâŠ. Available if we needed him for anything including directions a 9:00 PM when we got lost.
The house is three miles away from an Appalachian Trail access point.
We loved it!!!
Our group of family and friends had a wonderful long weekend at Timberwolf Lodge! We had plenty of space for our group of eight and everything was very clean. We appreciated the information shared by The Powellâs prior to our visit along with other little touches such as leaving the lights on for our arrival. The cabin is in a beautiful, peaceful and quiet setting. It was the perfect getaway!
