Overall house is good as advertised its very secluded and private in the mountains if that's what you're looking for. Communication with the owners was good only problem we had and it was not life altering bad was the property manager was still on property when we showed up we were 70 minuets early and he was a bit rude and adamant about check in is 4pm so we sat in the car. Which honestly, I have no problem with it was a long drive we showed up prior to the agreed upon time of 4pm it was unexpected less traffic, but you don't need to be rude about it. What did annoy me was he then released the property to us at 430p if you're going to berate me about the agreed upon time then that applies to both sides. But the property itself was awesome wifi works well but no cell service and that's kind of the point of a get away. Thanks again you have a beautifule house.
This is the place to be if you want to get away from the hubbub of the city and relax in a remote bucolic setting. The house was comfortable for our group of three older couples, except for the stairs. Oddly, the kitchen, dining area, and primary bedroom suite are on the second floor, and the two other bedrooms are on the first and third floors, so there's no avoiding stairs. If you are going to events in Asheville as we were, you have to plan extra time since it's a 25 - 30 minute drive from the house.
Hamersmith Hollow is a little piece of paradise! So quiet, so peaceful - a true escape. And also very convenient to all sorts of places and activities. I was so content to sit on the porch with my morning coffee and listen to the bullfrog symphonies. And then there's the amazing and responsive rental company, Pure Carolina. I have NEVER had a better rental experience. Their directions to the house are clear, their instructions for accessing the property are fail-proof... Every little detail is addressed. We will be staying here again, without a doubt.
Beautiful property in an amazing private setting! Spent a lot of time on the porch balcony overlooking the small pond after busy days exploring Asheville and Black Mountain. Property management very responsive . We all enjoyed our stay!
Itâs a beautiful and spacious house. A little outdated and lots of clutter.
Kitchen small for such a big house. Very tranquil and relaxing. We enjoyed the second floor terrace. The address not found on google. We had an anniversary and my daughter was not able to send us flowers
All in all a good and comfortable place to vacation with friends and family. The phone reception not very good depending on your carrier
We had a wonderful time at the Hammersmith home. We ran into a few issues at check-in, but the property manager was very responsive and addressed everything immediately. Our family and friends had a great time enjoying the view from the front porch and the surrounding areas. We hope to be back to Asheville and the area again!
The property was just as advertised. It's truly a beautiful and very relaxing setting. The porch, table, kitchen and bed/bath set-up worked perfectly for the six of us. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We all mentioned that we'd miss it after we left.
