We enjoyed our 3-night stay in this charming cottage - a perfect way to celebrate our 70th birthdays. From the woodburning fireplace and panoramic views to the deer that visited every day, we had no complaints. We didn't have enough time to try the hot tub, but that gives us a reason to return. Kitchen was well-stocked, wood was supplied, very private, a gem for sure.
Had a great time! The listing and photos were all very accurate. It was clean, warm and the hot tub worked great even in below freezing temperatures! We tried the extra space heaters and even got a little too warm at one point! They also have a lot of nice cutting boards, pots, pans, spices and plenty of utensils for you to cook meals with. They even set out some K cups for coffee in the morning which I thought was a nice touch. Thereâs a little ski resort right around the corner and lots of great hiking trails. The cabin also has great views from all the windows.Like the listing says, you need AWD in the winter. They had just gotten 4 inches of snow when we arrived. The road to the cabin hadnât been plowed yet and the car (with AWD) got stuck as we were having trouble getting it into low gear. We had to walk about a quarter mile to the cabin while it was windy and 1F out initially. The host was very nice and even answered my call at midnight as we were figuring out what to do. We still had a great time and were able to get the car unstuck the next day. They did plow the roads the next day and even did the driveway for us so we could park right next to the cabin. I really donât have anything bad to say about this cabin other than just plan accordingly if youâre driving on snowy mountain roads in general as thatâs something you may need to do with this cabin in the winter.
Great place to stay, but needs a set of instructions on how to use TV and the AC unit, also gas grill was very dirty and twice we saw a mouse in the kitchen. A couple of elevated triangular deck boards near the hot tub were a tripping hazard. Over half of the outside party light bulbs were inoperable. All of these were minor issues and overall our stay was most enjoyable.
