First off, we had at most 11 guests and this place was basically perfect for our needs! I know it says it sleeps 20, but we felt 11 to be the perfect amount. We certainly had an experience with this stay, but at no fault of the property owners and management! The septic tank was full and backed up which only happens once every 5 years or so but that’s just my luck! Sparing the details, the maintenance team and managers were very quick and responsive with their assistance and fixed it the same day. As another review states, there are a few small improvements that could be made that would be very cheap, simple, and easy to do that have not been done. For example, we were all very excited to play pool but the que ball had a large chip in it and the table itself is not in great shape. There’s a lot of rocks in the pool, scuffs on the walls, old decorations and tape still up from previous renters, and holes in the wall behind almost every door. With just a few dollars, a gallon of paint, an Amazon account and a littlebit of love, this property could be perfect! Otherwise we had an absolute blast enjoying the spacious rooms, VERY NICE mattresses (very important to me) the wonderful hot tub and great decor of the home. Many of us have said we’d love to come back one day.

The Pool is Bad

It was usable, and the kitchen utensils were well stocked. However, the decor was plain and tired-looking. Most problems could have been overlooked, but the pool was terrible. The house is far from most activities, so the pool was to be a primary source of recreation. It is a vinyl-lined in-ground pool (not marcite). The vinyl is peeling away from the pool’s walls. The filter was broken, and the pool water was opaque. We had to keep the kids out of the pool until the filter was fixed. Even after that, the water was turbid. I spent at least two days conversing with Mighty Tree Management and eventually with VRBO.The customer service people were nice enough, but it took me a lot of time and anxiety when we were supposed to be on vacation. This was not an inexpensive investment.ot appears to me that there is no local mangement to oversee maintenance. If there is, they either are not competent or they don't care.

This property is exactly what I was looking for! It was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of parking too. It’s super private, which made it feel like a real getaway. We especially loved the beautiful views - they made the stay even better. I highly recommend it!

Spectacular View; Second Rate Upkeep

We spent a week at this home outside of Marshall, north of Asheville. From the moment we arrived and the view unfolded as we traveled up a narrow paved road, we were enthralled by the location. The views are just spectacular. The spaces in the house are good if a little quirky. An office/study has been converted to a bedroom and only has a powder room next door. The other two bedrooms on that wing have a shared bathroom The common areas are expansive but while inside do not make much of the view. The main bedroom is very large and the upstairs bedroom is as well. Walk outside and the view again reminds you of why this is a great place to stay. We covered with the property managers a list of two handfuls of things that should be maintained better. The biggest downside is the property uses a well without any tank so that the flow of water is very slow and the hot water runs out quickly. Love the view. Worth overlooking the issues. With a few changes it would be an even more pleasing stay.

Do Not Recommend this property

We rented this for our first ever adult sibling vacation. We were very excited until we saw the pool. It was green and murky. And later discovered leaking. As we checked the house out, we discovered multiple problems ranging from missing floorboards covered by a rug to unclean toilets, dust covered in-take vents, algae laden & leaking hot tub and some roaches in the kitchen. And a bedroom with glass panel doors and very sheer curtains. No privacy at all. This is an abbreviated list of problems. When trying to rectify these issues we got significant push back from Green Mountain and the Host. Eventually, they said they would turn the pool heater on for two days at no charge. That did not happen. There were some positives. The view was spectacular. Roxie the neighbor dog visited and played frisbee. The five-car garage was great although garage door openers did not function. The beds were comfortable, but sheets were polyester. The open living/kitchen area was comfortable. These, however, are not enough to recommend this property.

The property was clean, and the management company was super responsive to any needs that we had. Just a heads up, the diving board pictured is not installed which was kind of a bummer. But overall we enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful location. Perfect for our family reunion!

We were very pleased with our decision to stay at this home. It was the perfect size for our big group and offered lots of rooms and hang out spaces that kept us from stepping on one another. The pool and the hot tub were a real treat after hiking and shopping each day. You can’t beat the views! Would definitely stay here again. Thank you to our hosts and the presort mgt team who were super responsive whenever we had questions.

Family Vacation

Our family (2 adults, 2 teens) enjoyed our trip to the Asheville area. The house provided more than enough space for us. It was clean and well stocked with the essentials (paper towels, TP, soap, etc.). The view is absolutely beautiful and the pool area is nice, but the outdoor furniture was not particularly comfortable for lounging/reading by the pool. The house itself is showing signs of significant wear: hole/scuffs on the walls, speaker wires hanging loose, stained rug, no balls for the foosball table, towels that need to be replaced, etc. The outdoor area is nice and offers a beautiful view. The pool furniture is not the most comfortable, but is serviceable. It was relatively cool during our stay, but the indoor temperature was quite warm during the nights

Our Stay during my Wedding Weekend

My family and I stayed at this rental unit during my wedding weekend and it was exactly as described and shown in the listing! This property is clean, spacious, and private. The appliances are update to date and had just about everything we needed for our stay. Views are breathtaking.

The property was stunning, all the staff at Mighty Tree Properties were wonderful to work with, any small issues were resolved in a timely manner, the property is pet friendly as well as kid friendly which was great. House is exactly as pictured online and the pool area is fenced in. We hosted our small private wedding here and the outdoor space was perfect for it. Highly recommend renting this property!

Pictures do not do justice to this property! It was heaven on earth. The house was amazing. Huge enough for 20 people. Every room was clean, bathrooms clean. Kitchen well stocked. I had gone wanting total relaxation. And that’s exactly what what I got. The pool was nice and warm and very clean. So was the hot tub. In the evening the cows would come graze right behind the pool area and we were throughly entertained by Roxy the next door neighbours dog. She bug out with us at the pool. Little love bug. We couldn’t have asked

A great location for getting away from the daily grind and spending quality time relaxing with family. The views from all corners of the house are priceless! The pool area is excellent for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.
