Martina Franca is an excellent choice as a base for visiting the key cities in Puglia. Trulli d'Autore is a great B&B just outside the city - clean, private, friendly hosts. It has parking as you will need a car to explore and a pool if you just want to relax at the B&B. Dont think you will find a better option.

We've had the most wonderful stay, Dorothea and the staff at Trulli d'Autore went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The spot is beautiful with local trullis and olive trees, and is located in the gorgeous country side near Martina Franca. Highly recommended

A memorable relaxing stay

What stands out about Truilli D'Autore is the personal touch and the relaxing countryside location. The guest grounds and pool area are beautifully landscaped, orderly, and immaculately clean. We stayed in a non-Truilli attic room with seating and views of the pool area and Truilli rooftops. The room was rustic, super clean, serviced daily, and the towels were regularly replaced. The grounds have a hidden working farm. All the family contributes to the breakfast, be it homemade cheese, meats, cakes, and their fresh eggs are served every morning. Dorothea is a warm-hearted person with a fun personality who makes great efforts for her guests.

Great stay

Thoroughly enjoyed and was satisfied with my choice of this Trulli hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for the hardworking Dorothea. Unaccustomed to preparing poached eggs for breakfast she not only was prepared to learn the classic method of preparation (appreciating that there are various opinions available!) she practiced and served excellent examples throughout my stay! NB this option, she told me, is not available during peak occupancy!! Good recommendations for places to visit and, importantly, dine, in the region. If I revisit Puglia a stay at the Trulli d’Autore will certainly be on my schedule Bravo, Dorothea!

Le lieu est trĂšs beau avec des chambres fort propres dĂ©corĂ©es avec beaucoup de goĂ»t, une piscine trĂšs agrĂ©able pour un bain rafraĂźchissant et une luxuriante vĂ©gĂ©tation trĂšs belle. IdĂ©al pour un peu de repos et visiter quelques villes aux alentours. DĂšs l’entrĂ©e, le magnifique du lieu se manifeste avec une vaste Ă©tendue d’oliviers. De l’excellente huile d’olive est produite et vendue Ă  la masseria. Le petit-dĂ©jeuner composĂ© essentiellement de produits de saison cultivĂ©s, produits ou cuisinĂ©s par les propriĂ©taires ou leurs subordonnĂ©s est dĂ©licieux. A ne pas manquer. Tous nos interlocuteurs ont Ă©tĂ© hyper chaleureux, agrĂ©ables, sympas et de bons conseils. Le mĂ©nage des chambres n’est pas effectuĂ© tous les jours sauf sur demande. Mais, une vigilance accrue est accordĂ©e avec le COVID-19 (masques en permanence, gels Ă  disposition, savon anti bactĂ©rien et/ou virucide dans les chambres, prise de tempĂ©rature Ă  l’arrivĂ©e, nettoyage des matelas de piscine ...). Il faut anticiper qu’il n’y a pas de restaurant sur place mĂȘme si quelques fois un des propriĂ©taires nous a cuisinĂ© des trĂšs bons plats le midi Ă  des prix trĂšs raisonnables. Le premier hameau avec supĂ©rette et restaurant est Ă  5km, toutes les routes de campagne Ă©tant assez tortueuses ou du moins pas des plus faciles surtout pour des citadins. On regrette que le matelas ait Ă©tĂ© trĂšs dur, ce qui n’est pas idĂ©al quand on a des problĂšmes de dos.
