We had the most wonderful time in villa capriccio… visiting in early July with a party of 7 including 2 small children . Our hostess Daniela was so welcoming and could not do enough to make our stay absolutely perfect The views are magnificent with stunning sunsets over the Mediterranean toward the island of capri . I also loved the ease with which we could walk down to the local beach where there is a earsena holding lounges , water toys and a shower and loo… all to make a day at the beach so enjoyable .We also had Daniela and her mum cook an amazing home cooked feast for us one evening ; the food was the best I’ve tasted, mostly grown on their own farm nearby . I can not recommend this Villa enough and I know if you chose to stay here you will love it !

Villa Capriccio was amazing! Such a beautiful property and gorgeous views in every direction! I have been to Positano before, but I much prefer Massa Lubrense. We did not have a car, and 7 adults could not fit in a cab, but we enjoyed the short (20 minute) walk to the marina where there is a convenience store, ATM, and a few restaurants and gelato stands. Also, the town had a few restaurants which delivered food to the Villa for a very reasonable price. We were traveling with our adult children and their partners, and everyone had plenty of privacy with separate bedrooms and ensuites as well as amazing outdoor space on 3 different levels, plus the beach. Daniela was amazing and provided great recommendations for restaurants and brought us a lovely breakfast. She was even very careful for our gluten free guest so there was no worries about cross-contamination. We were a little worried about all the stairs, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. There are a lot of stairs and hills to get to the beach - it's Sorrento - but my husband and I were able to make the stroll to the beach and back each day, so it is doable for anyone who is in reasonably good walking condition. It is hard to tell from the pictures, but the porches overlooking the sea are all on the front of the house, while the swimming pool is on the main level in back of the house, and the stairs to the huge rooftop sundeck are off the main level by the swimming pool.

Can I give a 20?

Villa Capriccio is a beautiful property with sundecks and views to blow your mind. Proximity to the sea and nearby villages was perfect and accessible by foot. But what made this stay beyond a 10 is the manager, Daniela, and her family and friends. She knows everything you could want to know about the area and her recommendations for skippers, drivers, private meals and local restaurants are wonderful. She answered so many questions and provided added value that is priceless. I am now happy to call her a friend, although she feels like family. Her attention to details and our needs and wants creates a vacation unlike any other I’ve experienced. I highly recommend this villa and her caretakers. Although I hesitate to share this gem with anyone else. I hope to return soon.

I have never written a review before - but feel compelled to do so after this stay because the experience was perfecto - mostly due to our host, Daniela. She was so helpful in planning - a boat trip to Capri, an authentic beach club in Positano, arranging drivers - nothing was ever left in doubt. Also, our party of six opted to have dinner in the villa each night - five nights! - and she and her family prepared a dazzling feast every night. Grazie, Daniela - and also to your mother and your sisters! Thank you for making our stay so magical.

Amazing villa

Our stay at the villa was amazing We had 10 adults 4 couples and two single ladies ages ranging from 50 to 75. Everyone was more than comfortable with rooms of there own. Sitting on the veranda in the mornings for breakfast served by Daniela was most delicious and relaxing We also had a dinner served that everyone said was the best meal ever.Daniela was the best host . She was always there to answer any of my questions from the moment we picked the dates . Upon arrival, she was there to greet us with her lovely smile to show us all around the Villa and answer any other questions that we had at that time. All of our guest couldn't say enough about how helpful she was to all of us She helped me arrange all of our excursions. The views , the sunsets and watching the boat traffic from the decks was spectacular . The wine cellar is complete with wonderful wines at reasonable prices. We used private drivers that was set up by Daniela as well. They were so accommodating and always on time One of my most favorite places to stay

🌟🌟🌟🌟 From the breathtaking views of Capri and Mount Vesuvius to the exquisite villa dinners, Daniela and family truly outdid themselves. Every breakfast felt like a luxurious feast—homemade pastry, top-notch espresso, and fresh fruit! The Villa dinners were the best we had in all of Italy! The pasta, appetizers and wine selection were impeccable. And not only were the rooftop cocktail hours a 5-star affair, but the level of service extended to cleaning after meals and stocking the villa with our requested items. The cherry on top? Daniela's impeccable concierge service—she made exploring the Amalfi Coast and Capri effortless. She arranged all boats and cars and worked with the service providers to ensure we were well taken care of. We felt like more than just guests; we felt like part of the family. If you're looking to elevate your trip to Italy, Villa Capriccio is it. You'll be able to easily explore Capri, Amalfi Coast, Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii, Naples, Sorrento and so much more. Family Celebrations

Our family celebrated various milestone birthdays, wedding anniversary and graduation. The property was amazing and the sunsets from the third floor terrace were spectacular. The house met the needs of the 13 of us that stayed there and there was something for everyone. Local restaurants were great and the views were breathtaking. Daniela was amazing and helped us with all our reservations and transportation. It is a bit farther from Positano and Amalfi but closer to Sorrento. Walking to public transportation wasn’t possible as the house was down some pretty steep and narrow roads. We would highly recommend this property and looking forward to returning.

Vacation paradise

The property itself was lovely. It had everything we needed. The pool was much nicer than we anticipated. The views of the water were spectacular from the decks. The property manager Daniela was exceptional. She assisted in reserving transportation, spa appointments and dinner reservations. She is extremely knowledgeable and provided wonderful recommendations. It was a trip of a lifetime!!!

Massa Lubrense holiday

Our host, Daniela, was just wonderful! Very welcoming, quick to respond and very easy to deal with. The weather did not cooperate while we were there--raining most days, but we still had a lot of fun. Just a few things to keep in mind about this property. It is really 4 bedrooms with private baths. Two of the bedrooms have a small room attached to them that would be appropriate for a child. The living space is quite small and on the many rainy days that we had, there really wasn't space for our group of 7 adults to comfortably relax. The rooftop is quite wonderful! Lots of comfortable seating and the views are spectacular. We did get a few hours up there during our stay :). The house stays very damp. Sheets felt damp, rooms felt damp and towels never really dried. The splits worked ok, but did not help to dry things. Kitchen is quite small. Plan to eat out or keep things very simple. You will need to take a cab into Sorrento. It usually costs us about 40 Euro each way. The walk into Massa Lubrense by the water is nice and takes about 20 minutes. You cannot get to the water directly from the house. You need to walk about 10 minutes to access stairs that allow you to go to the water. There is a nice little area for the residents of the house to use by the water. Table, chairs and beach chairs. We truly thought that Daniela was just lovely! The house is nice, but I wanted to clarify a few things about it in my review.

Our Favorite Time in Italy!

Our family of 11 stayed at the gorgeous Villa Capriccio for 4 wonderful nights. From the time I booked, I was in communication with Daniela, the property manager who truly cared about making our experience the most simple for us and most memorable. She succeeded in so many ways. First, she met us upon check-in, toured us around the villa, answered all of our questions then and throughout our stay. She also booked cars for us to get to Positano (we loved Lucio from Carpe-Diem) as well as a photographer to capture such a special time for our family. She pointed out the beach and private cabana we were able to use, which we did daily. All 11 of us agree the highlight of our trip was the chef prepared 7 course dinner on our veranda at the villa. It was truly magical and the food was the best we had in Italy. Truly. It is something we will never forget. Daniela's desire to ensure a wonderful guest stay makes her unique and surpassed all of our expectations! We HIGHLY recommend Villa Capriccio to anyone!

Magical!

Our stay was magical. A vacation we will never forget. The views from the house were beautiful. You can see Capri, and the sunsets are gorgeous. The home was perfect for our group. The beach area (in walking distance) is a bonus, and we spent many afternoons lounging in the sea. We took a car tour for the day to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello.l, with a very friendly driver named Mariano. We took a boat for the day to Capri and swam in the clear blue waters off the boat, in the various grottos with an awesome boat captain named Anthony. The most amazing part of this house is the Manager Daniela who helped with every detail. She was a a available at all times to help with recommendations, arrange reservations, taxis, groceries, tours, tickets, the list goes on and on. I cannot say enough good things about her. She made our vacation so special. It would not have been as wonderful without her. Thank you Daniela!

Couldn’t have asked for a better villa!!

We absolutely loved staying at Villa Capriccio! The location is perfect, steps to the beach with a private cabana and only 15 minutes from the city of Sorrento. Daniela, the villa manager, was a pleasure to work with. She was helpful from the second we booked our vacation throughout our entire time there. The villa was spacious and clean, and the decks and views are second to none. We can’t wait to come back and visit again! Thank you so much Daniela (and Lucio and Fabrizio!!)!!

Villa Capriccio Was the Highlight of Our Italy Trip

This villa is beautiful and restful, especially after a busy multi-city tour of Italy. It is fully equipped and sleeps many people, making it the perfect rental for a large extended family, couples traveling together, etc. The multi-million dollar views from many separate terraces cannot be beat. Prepare for steep road inclines and a walk down to the sea. The local fishing village (walkable) has two good restaurants and a mini market. Home-delivered groceries make cooking in the villa a breeze. Daniela Russo, the Manager, is the BEST! She greeted us upon arrival, arranged for grocery delivery and local transportation -- something that is a lot more important than you may realize. If you're staying any longer than 3-4 days, you may want to rent one small car to get around as it takes longer than you expect to get around by bus or on foot. I could stay at Villa Capriccio for a month!

Service with a view!

We were a family of 5 with a nanny on the last leg of a summer vacation from Florida. Then my fiancé surprised us with another family, our best friends, crashing the party so we had a total of 10 people! Plenty of room. This is a perfect property as it was four stories, with the top being a terrace with sweeping views of the Med + Capri. The real added value came from Daniela herself, who was almost like white glove concierge service plugged into the local scene and could always seem to secure reservations, car service, groceries, provisions etc. Having owned / managed a short-term rental property in a tourist town ourselves, we could respect the level of communication leading up to the trip that allowed us to plan all our days in the Amalfi coast through her, well advance. We never rented a car but did have a few excursions to neighboring towns that we leaned on her team of locals to help shuttle us to. Peak season, peak heat … we were so stoked to see that Daniela had installed an above ground swimming pool perfectly timed before our arrival. For the 5 kids we had + the 5 adults … was was tremendously welcomed, and we enjoyed a mid-afternoon swim to cool off. Bonus is the wine cellar on the ground floor, operated like an honor system, we’d watch the sunset at night from the rooftop terrace and never had to worry about running out drinks. We just kept a tab and settled-up at the end. Quiet street, stunning views, with a beyond than accommodating host who went well above & beyond anything we’ve ever experienced, and nice AC throughout the house, left us both pleased and impressed at the operation Daniela ran for Villa Capriccio. House is plenty big so fill it with family/friends and let the good times of coastal Italy fill your time making new memories.

Beautiful stay

We had a wonderful time while visiting Italy and staying at Villa Capriccio. The host Daniela went above and beyond for us and got us whatever we needed while we were there. She arranged pick up and drop off from the airport, taxi service, reservations for restaurants (which included pick up and drop off). She also had groceries delivered to us from the local supermarket with whatever we needed. Before we got there she had booked us a boat tour of Capri, and for a private chef to come to the villa to prepare a WONDERFUL meal for us. We sat out on the terrace and enjoyed the view and beautiful sunset while eating traditional Italian food from the region. The villa fit our family which included 12 people, 7 adults and 5 children comfortably. The property is located about 15 mins outside of Sorrento which we explored and also took a train to Naples, Pompeii, and a bus to Positano from. We really can't say enough good things about the property and of course Daniela! Definetly recommend If you are looking to rent along the coast. Close to Sorrento and the Amalfi coast (a taxi ride to Sorrento and a bus trip to Amalfi). I will add that if you are looking to go into town or to the beach areas you should be in some what of good physical condition. It involves uphill walking and steps but nothing that was unexpected for the area. Overall great trip and experience would love to return one day!

I’m sold! Our trip to Massa Lubrense created lifelong memories for our family!

Daniela, our host, was so attentive and helpful even while we were planning our trip. She had ideas for restaurants and made reservations for us and even scheduled car service. Her recommendation for our boat skipper, Michele, was perfect. His knowledge was impressive and the tours of the Amalfi coast and the trip to Capri and the Blue Grotto were breath taking. This was the trip if a lifetime and Daniela was key to making it a perfect vacation for our family. The bedrooms were spacious and as described. The rooftop balcony took my breath away!

Wonderful Home and Host

The house was perfect with breath taking views of the sea. Our family of 12 people fit comfortably. Daniela is an amazing host. She helped coordinate van service, a private boat tour of Capri and cooked an amazing dinner at the villa. This is a wonderful home, location and host!

Il Paradiso Esiste!!!

Siamo felicissimi di aver scelto Villa Capriccio, abbiamo trascorso una vacanza indimenticabile. La villa è spettacolare, molto spaziosa e dotata di tutte le comodità. Le terrazze, che affacciano tutte sull’isola di Capri e il Golfo di Napoli, ci hanno fatto innamorare. Tra l’altro il mare è davvero a pochi passi, infatti il rumore del mare ci ha accompagnato a colazione e cena durante il nostro soggiorno. Abbiamo passato la giornata al mare. La vista di Capri dalla piccola spiaggia ciottolosa sotto la villa è incredibile e la darsena ad uso esclusivo è un servizio comodissimo! Avere una stanza con bagno sul livello del mare è davvero bello, lettini, tavolo, sedie e materassini gonfiabili erano a nostra disposizione per il soggiorno e sono stati utilissimi per goderci a pieno la giornata al mare. Daniela è una host davvero disponibile, non conoscendo la zona ci siamo affidati a lei e i suoi suggerimenti si sono rivelati utilissimi. Grazie mille Daniela, toneremo presto!

Far exceeded expectations -- favorite part of our trip

This villa (and the location) far exceeded my expectations. I originally planned to book a stay in Sorrento, but decided to book Capriccio because it had closer access to the beach and to Positano. I am so glad I did. The villa was gorgeous -- from the painted ceramic tiles throughout the rooms, to the incredible view directly over the water -- this was the perfect place to stay. Daniela was so kind and helpful, she booked us a trip to Capri, gave us invaluable advice about what restaurants and secret beaches to visit, and was exceptionally accommodating with every minor request. My favorite part -- and something I have never seen before in any villa -- was the access to a beach just steps from the villa, including a beach cabana where we could leave our bathing suits and snorkel gear, plug in some music, and watch the sun go down as if we were alone on the coast. It was stunning. Highly recommend you try this villa and not the more touristy Sorrento locations.

Incredible accommodation with an outstanding host

The villa is insanely beautiful and cared in all details. The host Daniela, warmly welcomed us upon arrival, giving us the tour of the villa. No words can describe the view of the villa, 180 degrees of sea, with Capri Island so close that seemed you could touch it! We could hear the sound of the sea, reachable by foot, what a lovely soundtrack for our vacation! We enjoy the jacuzzi day and night and we popped some corks of tasty bottles of the villa’s cellar! Daniela, our host, was the cherry on top, the best host we could have! She gave us tips on places to visit and restaurants to eat, honestly we enjoyed the villa so much that we opted for a terrace BBQ, using the brand new appliance of the villa! Our friends were so happy that made us promise to come again soon, what else can we say, super top location, amazing villa and superb host!
