Welcome to The Matlacha Cottages, a serene and unique open water getaway, perfect for solo travelers or couples. This master suite offers an oversized closet for longer stays, a brand new custom tiled shower, and a separate bathtub. An efficiency kitchenette is provided with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee bar, allowing you to stay for a day or even a month! You're always welcome here, and your private entrance is attached to the mini villa.

Please note that you are staying at The Matlacha Cottages, which consists of four units sharing a beautiful backyard space with stunning wildlife and sunset views. While you're here, don't miss the Pine Island Community Pool, which is just $3 for adults and conveniently close.

Our luxury unit on the open waters of the Matlacha Aquatic Preserve is part of a double unit and is now ready for guests. The open water sunset views will dazzle you every evening! Centrally located, you can walk to everything in Matlacha, from its unique history and fishing charters to its art and local artisan shops, amazing seafood, restaurants, bars, and boutiques.

Our mini villa is steeped in history, love, and wonderful memories, attracting guests year after year to renew, relax, and find joy in this amazing community and aquatic wildlife at their fingertips. For remote workers, we provide the highest-speed internet available with Xfinity and two Roku TVs. The dining nook is perfect for working remotely with amazing water views, and the kitchen features beautiful Brazilian quartzite, mimicking our shoreline. Every detail of this property reflects high-end craftsmanship, having been recently gutted and remodeled by a local craftsman artist.

We highly recommend bringing your own kayaks or renting from Gulf Coast Kayaks. While a small shallow boat might be able to dock at our cement pad, we have not tried it yet.

Fishing, dolphin watching, and bird watching off the dock are highly recommended, but swimming is not advised. Consider taking a day trip to Costa Maya from Pine Island for the best beach in the US, or explore other amazing beach options via ferries and tours departing from Pine Island and Matlacha.

Please be aware that our dock was unfortunately destroyed by Hurricane Ian, and we hope to have it replaced in the future. Our patio space is shared with the other Matlacha Cottages and is also a "use at your own risk" amenity. Due to our location on these beautiful open waters, we must include this insurance verbiage.
