The house was fine overall. However, the kitchen wasnât equipped with basic pans needed for cooking breakfast. Some dishes/pans were dirty. And there were big ants all over the main level.
Steps to the front door were painted with a high sheen which is slippery. Cold weather and snow donât help that cause. Dishwasher didnât clean well, had problems getting into the place. The TV in the top left room didnât receive a signal. The basement should control the heat. If you use the gas fireplace, basement will always be cold. The hot tub was good.
The house was clean. Kids loved the basement with foosball and air hockey. I eould recommend a bit more furniture. Each living room only had the couch (which isnt comfortable). A comfy chair would be a great addition to the larger bedrooms and each living area. I requested an early check-in which was denied. The cleaners were still there at 4pm delaying our check-in. That was inconvenient. When I called, we received an extension on check-out but that didnt aide us for check-in and those immediate plans.
We had very serious issues with the property manager, Vacasa. The home was dirty upon arrival, not in the pristine condition of the listing pictures, very low water pressure and trouble with the air-conditioning. After repeated attempts to report and resolve with Vacasa (including sending them pictures) they finally provided a credit for our inconvenience. None of the maintenance issues were resolved during our stay, however. We have never had such a disappointing experience on the VRBO platform.
Cleaning crew was still at the cabin at 5 (supposed to be 4pm check in) and all the food we brought was for the grill. BOTH propane tanks were empty. Was promised it would be replaced and even assured the next day when i asked again that it would be done that day. No one ever came so everything had to be made on the stove. Unlike the rest of the house, the master suite had no air to it aside from a fan so it was really stuffy. Cleaning crew left a pile of garbage behind the downstairs couch. Also, the pool that is advetised on the listing that you can use, the water was green and had algae all throughout so my kids were disappointed they couldnt swim. Other than that, cabin was nice and cozy, just felt like the rental agency could care less, they just told me what i wanted to hear. Dont think i will be booking through their agency in the future!
Beautiful place great location!Amenities need improvement.Had issues with outside cleanliness and property managers never replied or showed up to address any problems
We had a wonderful family stay near Deep Creek, Maryland, for our daughterâs graduation from West Virginia University. The house was perfect for our large groupâspacious, comfortable, and just a short drive from the graduation ceremony on Sunday morning. The setting was peaceful and relaxing, yet still close enough to all the activities and entertainment in the area. It truly gave us the best of both worlds. Weâre already talking about coming back for a full week with the whole family!Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet retreat that doesnât sacrifice convenience.
Beautiful, peaceful property. The layout of the house was great for the family. The view was lovely. Hot tub was spotless. Air hockey and foos ball were a big hit. The kids thought it was very fun to stay in a log cabin. We loved our stay.
We loved staying in this beautifully built and furnished home. The sleeping accommodations were very comfortable with a main floor master bedroom, two basement bedrooms sharing a full bath with tub, and two upper floor bedrooms sharing a third full bath. Great gathering spaces on main and basement floors. Lots of smart TVs. Private and peaceful location but easy access to shopping, restaurants and area activities.
From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. Everything was so clean and very well supplied. Beautiful, relaxing place to stay. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.
The house is beautiful and spotless. We had 4 generations there for a little get away. Everybody loved it! Very quiet when we were there but not too far to get to restaurants, stores, etc.
Minor issue ( probably our inability to figure the thermostat out) there was a variance in temperature from the top floor to the lower level. I would just pack two diffent seasons of pajamas just to be sure.
We loved the hot tub....even the kids, we just turned the temp down when they were in there. We got to make some wonderful family memories!
This house was exactly what our family needed for our long ski weekend! The beds were comfortable and the living spaces were open and clean. The sun comes through the large windows beautifully. The hot tub and fire pit are nice amenities and the fact that we could bring our dogs made it perfect. It's a quiet lot set back from the street. We saw lots of deer right next to the driveway!
If you plan to cook a lot, or have preferences regarding your kitchenware, I recommend bringing your own. While the kitchen is stocked, the quality of the pans were not great and a few small tools like a vegetable peeler were missing.
While the house says it sleeps 14, the dining room table and living room couch can't fit more than 9 people at a time.
Unfortunately, the owner was completely unresponsive to our messages before and during our stay. Luckily, nothing we wrote them about detracted significantly from us all having a great time.
Several areas of the home were misrepresented. The hot tub was not working upon our arrival and could not be fixed. The home advertised a bedroom with a queen bed and double pull out. This did not resist and we could not identify how the house could sleep 14. The home advertised 5 parking spots. We had 4 and could barely fit 3. The coffee pot was broken and we had to replace. The house advertised sleeps 14, but the kitchen was not well appointed for that capacity. The house was new, relatively clean, but there were several things that needed to be improved and better represented.
