The hotel could do with a refurbishment in some areas. The hallways are somewhat "Tatty". The air conditioner was either too cold or too hot and noisy with no facility to switch off entirely. The bedside lamps did not work. There are no USB points in the room. The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful as were the concierge staff. The room was quiet. The elevators appear to be an ongoing concern for the hotel as one is still under repair and the other stopped working on one of the evenings we were there, being mobility challenged that was a struggle.

Room was modern and clean although a constant loud noise I could hear all night long from the hotel somewhere. Pool area seems not well maintained quite dirty looking in that area. Some staff were not very helpful aswell. I won’t be staying at this hotel again.

Our booking at another hotel was cancelled/overbooked with no notice and the staff at Novotel found us a room with no notice and even upgraded our room free of charge. The staff were so kind and I cannot fault them. Their service was amazing.

The room was reasonable and suited our family of 3 well. It is older but still comfortable. The staff are the biggest let down, the front of house staff especially rude and just don't care. One of the lifts from ground to level 3 was broken during our stay, and then the only other lift also broke down; leaving no lift to ground floor. Elderly people and those with mobility issues or prams (us) had no way to get to the ground floor and the older lady on reception didn't care at all and they didn't even put a sign to let people know it was out of order, so reception staff were literally watching people wait their for the lift for ages and not saying a word. We eventually ended up going down in the service lift. Housekeeping also didn't happen until after 3pm most days and rubbish was left outside rooms for 24 hours - surely the night staff should do rounds and collect this? Overall, the hotel room was comfortable and the location perfect, but it's let down by some of the staff and poor management of hotel facilities.
