We appreciated having the linens and towels included. Having the starter paper products, high-quality soaps, and cleaning supplies was convenient. Inside was decorated nicely and had lots of open space for our family to move around. It definitely has charm and is quiet. Our dog loved the yard.
Our family chose this property largely based on a review citing its convenience to Cooperstown Dreams Park. The 31 minute one-way drive got tiring after a day or two of back and forth. The property title itself is misleading, indicating it's near "baseball" (be aware that All-Star Village is not the same as Dreams Park--our bad!!).
We did not expect the well-water to smell as bad as it did and it made cooking and basic hygiene inconvenient. Thank goodness for the Dollar General down the road for bottled water!
The kitchen lacked a toaster oven and only had one outlet for additional appliances.
We had some issues with the remote controls for the Apple TV and Bose stereo. We believe the batteries were dead.
The upstairs suite had no window coverings whatsoever. Some of the windows in the house lacked screens or did not open fully.
We did not find any local eating or shopping.
The primary shower was newly renovated and nicely done. However, the other bathroom shower was small.
Overall, this is a nice country home but not an ideal place for anyone traveling to visit Dreams Park for a week of baseball in Cooperstown.
