FIASCO!!!

I don't know if the problem was with communications between motel and hotels.com but they had one room and said I had checked in already when we arrived. They gave us a key for a room but there was someone's luggage already in that room. They gave us another room which was empty. Then I find out someone called my house some 300+ miles away to tell my wife to get my stuff out of the room???? I hope this is investigated and find out what and how someone used my name to get into the room I paid for. The ladies at the front desk were very nice during this whole fiasco. The TV system needs some serious work as half the stations were blank. I don't know if we were being forced into a pay for view system but it didn't work.

There was not anything unique about the property. But the staff was very polite. And, the cleanliness of the property was immaculate. Now the breakfast was lackluster I was very surprised that I didn't see any yogurt to go with the granola. And I prefer waffles over the pancake maker.

Shoutout to ‘Annette.’ She greeted us for breakfast, with the most pleasant morning energy one could ask for after a long trip from the night before. She was truly inspiring the way she radiated a smiley sunshine, upbeat warmth. My young daughters and I had a trying night and she was the perfect reset for a brand new day. Attentive and caring- silly and funny. . she felt like the family you wish you had sometimes. Breakfast was delicious. Room was clean and updated. Check in was a breeze. Pool was great. Lemon scented soaps were special too!

Phenomenal, Eco Comfy, NEW, Colorful, Great Value

PHENOMENAL!!! The two of us were attending a continuing education course at a nearby facility. We realize this true Hilton hotel was amongst approximately 20 within a close range. We were so blessed to have just happened on choosing this particular hotel, which was literally freshly built August 2024, we found out. Ambience was art deco and parking was free easy to access. All were welcoming. All areas were comfy, colorful, with elegant fashion. Everything was automated, accessible, and functional. The welcome by the night receptionist/concierge/helpful Laura was deeply appreciate given our tired, weary body and souls. The extra amenities, free water, accessible ice, and Eco friendly water system, and complementary breakfast, which was totally tasty and had cute amenities, such as freshly made hot pancakes on a first time seen conveyor belt was remarkable and memorable. The next morning we were greeted by Annette, who was a phenomenal hostess and the day Shift concierge/receptionist Kira, and manager Steven. Everybody was helpful and friendly, and we even got to see their interactions with other hotel customers which was equally welcoming and they were extremely kind and attentive. Although this hotel is not by any downtown Chicago like recreational activities, such as museums or plays,they do have a wonderful announcement board, which includes nearby activities, concerts, & the Southlake shopping mall which we visited. Therefore, we will be returning soon for leisure.
The Room was sooo beautiful, spacious and fresh!!!
Yup even the amenities in the “other room” was worth noting.

This hotel is excellent from the quick, friendly check in to the nicely appointed rooms. It would be nice to have a microwave and in room coffee maker, but the Tru hotels don't have them in room. There is access to microwave and hot water and coffee at all times in the lobby. The only real ding I have is the water pressure in the shower was not good. We were, however, on the third floor. Steven the gm was running breakfast on Sunday morning. It was awesome to see a gm willing to do anything needed. Everyone is super friendly and helpful at this hotel.

The Bare Minimum

The Good: The check-in process was seamless, there's plenty of parking, the lobby is very aesthetically pleasing and features a few games, and there's an on-site laundry available to guests. The Bad: The room is essentially empty. There is no microwave, no coffee maker, no cups/mugs, no ice bucket, no bibles, no menus, and no complimentary tea/coffee/sugar packets that you'll see provided at pretty much any hotel, regardless of the chain. This is supposed to have something to do with "eco-friendliness" I suppose (but think it's likely just corporate frugality in green paint). We also had to listen to the guests above us constantly bumping/running all night and a fair part of the morning. And lastly, we requested a courtesy late checkout only to be told that all the "slots" we're already taken. All in all this is a servicable hotel. But it's also pretty bare minimum. Not sure I would stay again (especially if I need a late checkout).
