Stayed in room 411... Got to the room and noticed the door was already open. Before I could do anything I had to search the closet and bathroom to ensure I was the only one there. After that I left the room and realized the reason the door was left open since the door card reader did not work. I called the front desk and maintenance and they said they would fix but never came back. I ended up having to take all my stuff with me to dinner since I had no where else to keep my luggage. The front desk person that night and in the morning could care less about the issue. Rather than not renting the room out at all they knew about the issue and still rented it out. Another issue was the room had no hot water. Lastly, charging $30 for a "resort" fee was laughable. I never leave reviews good or bad ones but the smug responses I got from both employees pissed me off.

Upon our arrival at the hotel, several issues became apparent. Initially, our reservation, made through Expedia, indicated two rooms, not a single room with two beds, as we were informed upon check-in. Despite the "Vacancy" sign displayed outside, no alternative rooms were available. The condition of the assigned room was unsatisfactory. The flooring appeared damaged and warped, with visible paint covering imperfections. The bathroom lacked essential amenities such as towels and a hairdryer, and the mirror was marred with brown stains. The television remote was non-functional, and only a limited selection of channels was available, predominantly in Spanish. Furthermore, the absence of an elevator necessitated carrying luggage up the stairs, and the closet emitted a distinct, unpleasant odor.

My boyfriend and I tried calling the Chesterfield after we arrived in Miami. We couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone to help us. We called for over an hour. Finally we walked to the hotel and complained. The guest services guy acted like he couldn't care less. We will not go back!

Usually when checking into a room I have booked through Expedia it is quick and painless. The checkin at Chesterfield took forever and the resort fee was not shared during my original reservation. They also need to update their door locks. Had a lot of difficulty getting the door unlocked. The pictures of the room I reserved did not match the room we were given either. We were supposed to have a sofa that made into an additional bed and we did not. But the place was clean and we enjoyed the small courtyard outside our rooms.
