The main terrace bar and restaurant was closed for a private function and so a huge part of the reason for staying at this hotel for one night was unavailable- the only place to eat/drink was a tiny pizza restaurant on the ground floor where they managed to squeeze us in at the bar. The food and drink here, along with the service was excellent. Our Bay View room was large and well equiped but had no bedside lighting - odd! The room was possibly the noisiest hotel room I have ever stayed in - badly affected by loud music noise from the private party and later from air conditioning noise and a loud vibrating noise behind a locked service door in the room. We mentioned the noise and unavailability of restaurant/bar at checkout but they didn't really care while still charging a £60 resort fee!! After a long flight we just wanted a good nights sleep and sadly didn't get that. No mention of our VIP benefits - free drink or upgrade. Would not stay again - even if all facilities available it would not have been good value.

I am writing to express my disappointment with several issues I experienced during my recent stay at your hotel. From the start, the check-in process was extremely slow and disorganized. The lobby was crowded, and there appeared to be no structure in place to manage the flow of guests. Even though my room was not ready by the regular check-in time, no one contacted me by text or phone once it became available, despite being told that I would be notified. When I finally went to my room, I was surprised to find it in an unacceptable condition. The room was not properly cleaned, and there was hair on the carpet. This is far below the standard I expect from a hotel of your level. I also had an unpleasant interaction with the bellman. I was never given a luggage ticket, yet he argued with me about it and then expressed frustration about the amount of luggage I had—even though I had loaded and unlocked it myself. This was unprofessional and unnecessary. To make matters worse, I later discovered minibar charges on my account, even though I did not touch anything in the minibar during my stay. Overall, these issues reflect a lack of structure, training, and management oversight. I am requesting a refund of the minibar charges and appropriate compensation for the inconvenience, poor service, and unsatisfactory room conditions. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these concerns to ensure a better experience for future guests.
