The house and views were great! The main issue we had was the listing states private beach, and when you get there posted on the fridge and in the welcome book it says that the beaches are not for guest use. We booked this specifically for the beach. We reached out to the number provided in the welcome book about it, and never got a response. Then, we reached out to Vacasa customer service, and they said they would reach out to the local team. However, we never heard anything after that. We just wanted clarification of where we could actually get into the water if the beach was not supposed to be used. Since we did not get that clarification, we felt a little uneasy with our stay. We ended up just getting into the water closest to the dock. It was a bit of a downer feeling like we couldn't let the dogs run on the beach. We kept having to call them back every time they strayed the slightest bit. I hope you all make the listing more clear for future guests on what parts of the property are for guest use. Please consider removing private beach from the listing if guests are not supposed to use it.

This property is Old, Weathered and needs lots of TLC. First check in: none of the provided codes opened the door, luckly, the sliders on the back deck don't lock, so we got in that way. Called the property management company who said maintenance would come to fix the front door lock, but nobody ever showed. Next, this place is on the HOT side of the lake, water temp was 95. The rest, like shower doors falling off the tracks, gerry rigged plumbing in the showers, heavily stained shower enclosures and a sleep number bed with no instructions was beyond uncomfortable. We left after 3 nights into a one week stay. The area is nice, but if we come back, we'll look for something on the other side of the lake.

The kids and pup loved it!

Great option if you have a water loving dog like I do. The yard was lovely, and it was very peaceful and quaint. We visited in April and it was warm enough to swim in.Loved the kitchen! Great for larger groups who like to cook.A few minor issues, but these did not take away from the trip:- the front door needs to be lifted up to be unlocked- the dock needs some repair, we needed to be mindful with the children to not get scraped on some of the boards- the bathrooms are pretty dated, some of the glass doors were difficult to open and close

The property delivered on the view and the A/C. For the most part it qas clean on the surface, but it is an old proprty and needs updating and better cleaning. Cobwebs everywhere. The outside of the house needs to be power washed, especially the gutters and the back deck with moldy furniture. The couch was the worse -poopy wet dog smell. After two days of trying to get someone to do something, Vacasa sent two very apologetic people over to strip and clean the covers at 5pm Tuesday night. They returned them around 10pm with the understanding that the couch cushions were still stinky, but there was little they could do. The lake was too hot to swim in. Otherwise it was fine.

Fishing and Grilling

Getting to and from the lakehouse was a breeze, the location was perfect. Check-In was seamless and so was communcation with the property manager. The house had everything you'd need for the most part, plent of space for everyone to enjoy their time. The dock was perfect for fishing and swimming, could use a power washing as it was littered with spiders. The house was clean but you could tell it had been awhile in-between guests as you'd find cobwebs and the elements haven't been great to the deck, definitely suggest a powerwashinging in between months. Overall, the lakehouse was perfect for a group, kitchen and deck were spacious, the dock was perfect, I'd definitely come back.

Great Weekend Trip!

Awesome Trip, Comfortable House, loved being able to keep my boat in the boathouse all weekend, largemouth fishing was great, Likely to return next year. Only downside was that the listing promised a coffee maker, but there were no coffee filters provided so we could not use the coffee we brought. Other than that 10/10 would recommend.

Great, quiet location with dock access

Our family enjoyed this location and home. It was ideal for our pet with a large yard and nice to have our two boats at the dock for the week. House was clean, beds were comfortable, and plenty of games to play in the garage. Both decks, including table & chairs, could use a good power washing; the bath/shower faucets in the master bath could use updating; many nails on the dock boards were sticking up and need some attention. It may just be the time of the year, but all our vehicles were sap covered when we left because of the trees. Overall, a very enjoyable vacation! Thank you!

More Work, Less Play

Fair warning to those who (like me) booked this property because of the private boathouse and the ability to bring your boat along on vacation - the property does have access to a private boat ramp. However, this boat ramp requires a key that you are supposed to have access to upon check-in. In fact, you have to pre-coordinate with Vacasa (Property Manager) prior to checking in so that they can tell you where to find the key. For our Sunday check-in, I started reaching out on Friday. I was told where the key would be on Saturday. However, upon checking in on Sunday, the key was nowhere to be found. I immediately reached out to Vacasa, but because it was the weekend, their "local team" was not available to assist, and I was assured that someone would reach out to me Monday morning. To make a long week a very short story: I endured the biggest run-around from Vacasa only to FINALLY be told halfway through our vacation that there was no key - it was lost. What was supposed to be almost a week of boating in Lake Anna was reduced to a day and a half, because they managed to get us to a boat ramp that belonged to another property mid-week. The house itself was clean on the surface, but many parts still had cobwebs/spider webs. Both the deck and boathouse had not been cleaned/blown off, so we did our best to make those useable. A previous review mentioned kayaks - those would've been great to use while waiting, but were nowhere to be found.

Great early spring kayaking

We chose this property for the second week of March because it is on the warm side and we planned to kayak. The house was as described. The two large bedrooms each had king size SleepNumber beds. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. The living room has a large TV with a firstick. On the deck is a propane fire table. Everything worked. There is a bird feeder, which we bought bird food for, and it was wonderful sitting on the deck, watching such a large variety of birds flying in and out as we also watched the water. The house sits in a small cove which is better than being right on the main waterway. The sand beach made getting in and out of the kayaks easy. It is also centrally located so getting to each of the fingers was not a long paddle. The water was definitely warm enough that had there been a freak tip, it would not be dangerous. The pool table was a fun touch! We were the only kayaks on the water for the entire week. This is surely the best kept secret paddling spot!
