It was overall a good stay. One of the queen beds was broke, we didn’t realize till the next morning. We thought it was just a crappy mattress. Brought it to the attention other front desk and they didn’t seem to have much care. Just said they will notify maintenance.

We booked this hotel last minute after our original one turned out to be terrible. Great service and location especially if you want to see the tidal bore.

The front desk staff was lovely. Extremely friendly and accommodating. When you walk inside, it has the overwhelming smell of an air freshener. The sort of smell that is often used to mask things like mould or other unpleasant odors. I’m a bit sensitive to smells and I found the odour was overwhelming. This property is very tired out and it shows in the rooms. There’s a lot of deferred maintenance going on here. I have stayed at a few Rodd properties lately and they seem to share in common this unfortunate feature. My room faced Main Street and it was very noisy. The complimentary breakfast was decent and in a nice, bright room.

There is construction out in front of the hotel that made getting there slightly difficult. Otherwise the hotel is lovely, continental breakfast was delicious, beds and pillows were very comfortable. On the second floor, even taking the elevator up you have to navigate stairs which made bring luggage to and from the room a bit of a struggle but we managed. Overall a really great place to stay.
