My family and I drove from the Youngstown area to visit the Cincinnati Zoo & Kings Island. The house was located in a very nice area and was the perfect distance from each of our destinations. It was very private and safe feeling. Nice large yard, however we wish the grass had been cut for our kids to run around in. There was also a bit of a rodent odor in the basement. Overall I would recommend to anyone with a family of 6 looking for a nice, private getaway to the Cincinnati area!
This property was very nicely decorated, fit our small group perfectly. However, the throw rug at the front door caused my elderly husband to slip and injure his leg and arm; fortunately we were able to take care of his injuries. I hope the owner has since placed anti-slip pads on the rugs. The other thing we found disconcerting is that there is a lack of privacy between the master bedroom and the ensuite...my fault for not looking more carefully at the listing photos. But the accommodations were nice.
The house overall was fine. A few take aways: The company needs to do a better job of gathering the required information BEFORE the date of check-in. This caused unnecessary stress foe me. If the entry and exit to the house (the road is dangerous) this information needs to be relayed. This was a very dangerous place to get in and out of. I thought we would get hit each time leaving. The grass needed to be mowed and the weeds trimmed. I side rhebhouse was neat but had a rather smokey smell. Very stale smelling. The kitchen was wwll equipped. The towels in the bathrooms were smelly...USE BLEACH. The couch needs to be replaced. 1 Big thing...THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIMARY BATHROOM NEEDS TO INCLUDE THAT THERE IS NOT A DOOR...OPEN CONCEPT...NO THANKS. If there are plug ins, use them. Check the smell and mow the grass.
