The location is first-rate. The house is high atop a cliff looking down on the Pacific as it rolls in. It's also at the end of a dead end street, so no traffic noise (unless you count the garbage truck which comes at 5 am on Fridays).I'm not so crazy about the check-in and check-out webpage the owner uses. You can't access any check-in information until the day of your arrival. Which is a problem because there's no cell service at the location. So when we arrived, we couldn't access the internet to obtain the webpage to get the code to open the door, nor could we call the listed number because, again, no cell service. We had to go to a local sandwich shop to piggyback on their wifi to get the information. Not a deal-breaker, but pretty inconvenient. The check-in info doesn't contain much and there are no written instructions in the house. For example, we weren't able to use the TV because we couldn't figure out how to access the cable (it may be because the batteries were dead in the remote). So no live TV whatsoever. We were not aware that gardeners came to the property during the week, so I happened to look up and see a guy walking across the patio while we had the back door open for the dogs. Fortunately, no one got bitten.Wifi in the house does not extend upstairs.Check-out was easier, but again, if I can't access it until the day I leave, then I can't do anything ahead of time to prepare. A written set of instructions would be ideal.
