Couple's getaway to Carmel

First time staying here and we'll be back for sure. The Carmel Mission Inn is cute, clean, comfortable, and a great value off-season. Very convenient location for walkable shopping and tons of dining options. Only one complaint: the bed was a little too firm.

The alarm clock went off at 2:07 AM witjh no intructions or buttons to turn it off. Turns out it was wifi connected to my IPad which was still playing for 30 minites until I found out that was the sound sound source Tried to unplug it but the outlet was behind the bed which cannot be moved Recommend a sign with instructions and/ our replace with conventional alarm clock!! TOO HIGH TECH I am copying to YELP until I get an answer! For the toom price this was unacceptable Thanks Craig Southard Room 430

Room was ok but mattress was very firm. When asked for another room, a thin mattress pad was sent. Even though there was a sign for coffee in the lobby, there wasn't any. Five other guests were asking as well. Was told to go to the restaurant. Paid $6 for a small cup. Seemed like 'nickel and dime' tactics for an advertised 'top hotel'. Didn't live up to Hotel.com's description or previous rating. I would pass on this one on next trip to Carmel.

Very wonderful property in a quiet part of town great dining options in the area. Heated pool and amazing hot tub with poolside service. Pool needs to be cleaned daily it gets very murky.

Not as advertised. Property tucked behind a gas station and the "mountain view" that our room was advertised as was behind business buildings. The room was labeled as "room with a hot tub", not there was a hot tub on the property for anyone to use. Overpriced for a very small room. Bed was horribly uncomfortable. Never staying here again. Wish I could get a refund.

The hotel is practically right on the highway. It is not in the charming city of Carmel, which is on the other side of the highway. Since the hotel is almost on Highway 1, there is easy access to the beaches and parks south of Carmel. There is, however. a gorgeous, beautifully landscaped outdoor mall with many unique shops and restaurants right next to the hotel, and another shopping area across the street. The hotel room was clean, large, had a comfortable bed, robes ( always a plus for me), and a refrigerator. There is a restaurant right at the hotel.
