We came here to escape high temps, and just really enjoyed the tranquility, as well as coziness of our room. Annette, at reception, was fantastic in her warm welcome, super friendly, and helped us with check-in as if it was effortless, and gave us great info on local sites to visit, restaurant too. We brought our dog, and we will definitely return to this little gem just a few blocks from the nearby ocean waves.

I guess it’s my fault for not checking properly, I just have never stayed at a motel or hotel without air conditioning. It was about 68 degrees outside but when we got into our room, the thermostat read 81 degrees. I thought by paying a little bit more for a room in the are, we would get a little more.

The bathroom floor should be cleaned to remove all dirt under sink and on tiles. Not sure the toilet was clean as it should be. Everything else was clean.

The room was clean and the staff were very helpful. The parking lot would not accommodate all vehicles if all rooms were booked, and it was often tight with just a few pickup trucks parked. Overall, the room was adequate but dated; there was no dresser for clothes.

We went for two nights, the first room was so ridiculously small. One chair and barely any room for anything, no where to put our suitcase. The people next door had a barking dog and had their TV on all night, seriously all night. There is no soundproofing. Rooms are very dated and tiles in the bathroom were all cracked, floors were NOT clean, hair on the bathroom floor. When I walked from the shower my feet were dirty, there is no carpet, just the fake wood floors. We asked to get a larger room and the front desk staff were seriously nice and sweet, we got a King room and it was larger, but the tub was all stained and the pull up knob to switch the water from the tub to the shower did not work, only about 50% of the water came through the shower head. The drain was blocked or something as the water did not drain so I was standing in 2 inches of water. All the trim around the tub was falling off. Bed was very saggy and hard. They had no fitted sheets but the sheet they used on the bottom was too small and did not tuck in so it moved around. The mattress cover elastic was broken so it too moved around. This room was hot as the large gas heater puts off heat even when turned off. It also did not work, the thermostat was broken. In general the rooms are very run down. For the price we paid we were disappointed and the rooms are very run down. The hot tub was nice. I will not stay here again.

The Inn is cute and clean. The staff is nice and friendly. It’s within driving distance (10 minutes) from shops and restaurants. The beach is also near by. It is an affordable Inn so expectations shouldn’t be high. It’s old and there is no AC. It was fine for a weekend of outdoor exploring.

NOT a highlight

Picked this place without high expectations. The front desk service is very friendly and helpful, but let's face it, this is a plain ol' motel. Rust stains in the tub, no cord for the blinds, no A/C (but we got a box fan in the closet!) Not luxury, not even moderately aspirational. Sorry, but whoever rated this Excellent needs to reevaluate their standards.
