Good deal for the money. Room had been recently remodeled. Area outside the windows was used for storage so we had to keep the curtains shut.

You get what you pay for. The Inn distance requires a car to drive to the Cannery Row tourist area. I was hoping to arrive early and use the wifi to work but sad to find out there was no communal area indoors to utilize. They also did not have a lobby restroom for guests. The check in person allowed me to use the staff restroom but it was not kept well. It left a bad impression on the cleanliness standard of the Inn and rooms. We checked in but decided to not stay the night. The price we paid, for just $50 more I could have had another hotel closer and with easier access to a shared communal area to use. Two stars is what it is, you get what you pay for. The staff that checked us in the front was not very hospitable. He confronted me when I made a complaint to Expedia. Rule of hospitality is you do not confront your guest, you will try to make it better if they were uncomfortable with the standard of your business.

Not worth the cost

The location was fine for our purpose as close to Monterey Bay. We had been traveling cross country, this was the fifth hotel we stayed at and was our least favorite and most expensive. TV had no volume, but bed was comfortable, clean bathroom, but would not choose again.

Our room was dirty. There was hair in the bed, floor hadn't been vacuumed, bathroom floor hadn't been swept or mopped, sink hadn't been cleaned, shower hadn't been cleaned. When brought to their attention, all that was said was "sorry."

Not Impressed

The photos posted definitely do not represent what you get with your stay. I know it’s a small town Inn, but we were not impressed. Room was not clean when we checked in. Had hair in the bath towels, on the floor, etc. Our fireplace did not work, which wasn’t a problem but just pointing out. Don’t know how they have an 8.8 Hotels.com review. Our “view” was a weed invested lot that my kids called a junk yard. Would not stay here again.

Sai Is The Best!

Sai at the front desk is a class act-thoughtful, friendly and focused. Great room as always as well. Easily the best place on Munras and to be honest better than some far more expensive properties on The Monterey Peninsula. That it has the audacity to be so affordable is just a bonus.

Our room was very spacious with fireplace and great lighting, very quiet with black out curtains. Very close to nearby tourist areas like the aquarium and warf, we will be staying here again on our next trip.
