Enjoyed the location. Easy walk to everything we would like. Shops, beach, restaurants etc. Bikes were an option we used every day. Quiet and clean. Also noice top floor with work out equ and a sauna we used often. Never did figure out how to heat up hot tub. English not spoken widely so it required us to get out of our comfort zone. Go to this hotel you won't be disappointed. We had to cut our trip short because of COVID-19 but look forward to returning one day.

The property was great, employees awesome. The daily room cleaning was ok, was not happy that the jacuzzi was not working otherwise very happy with the hotel.

1.4 Merit Aparthotel is in a fantastic, safe area of Montevideo with plenty of excellent bars and restaurants nearby and just five minutes walk from the Rambla (waterfront). Our apartment was clean and well looked-after and had great facilities including fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster (plus a tv in the living area and in the bedroom! For a comfortable, inexpensive stay in a beautiful part of the city I can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

Great location Great service of the people at the lobby The cleanliness And maintenance of the paint color of the room should improve . The bathroom is too small and not confortable. Bad plan of the space. On the overall is a good place. The breakfast is not worthy. Some croasants and a juice in a box. Coffee to self make in the room without even real milk .

My stay was extremely pleasant and a great location. The area had a relaxed feel and close to a beautiful beach and a promenade that extends for 2 miles to the old town of Montevideo. The reception staff spoke English which was a plus factor for me as I speak limited Spanish. Montivideo is very much a best kept secret and your virtually guaranteed a carefree vacation.

Great location near nightlife

First of all, the location of this hotel is great. You are about two blocks away from the beach boulevard and you are in a great neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. There is also a corner store named Kinkos at the corner, which we found great for late night snacks, etc. This place also has an atm that will pay out in local money or in United States dollars. There is also a money exchange close by which also sells tickets to soccer games. The front desk staff was friendly overall - some more than others. The house cleaning woman we had - Monica (I think) was super friendly - we absolutely loved her. We loved our suite because it had a kitchen but there were three of us and we paid an extra $24 a night for one of us to sleep on the couch - it wasn’t very comfortable. Overall, everything was great and we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen and location was definitely the highlight. We would stay here again.
