Room was in decent condition initially. Loved the amenities. Hot water did not disappoint. Pool was decent. Staff were good across the board, many thanks to them.
Beyond that, some deficiencies:
*Electrical needs a re-think.
One outlet was beside the sink, requiring you to extend the coffee/keurig maker across the sink to brew. There were already scorch marks.
One socket went dead; we got an extension cord.
Second socket used however, was unable to keep a tight grasp on plugs and often fell out.
Lamps with low-voltage USB outlets failed to keep my devices charged.
Third electrical socket was not fastened to wall properly (there was a gap).
*Lack of a change machine or flushing staff with enough loonies to make change posed challenges with laundry.
*Walls are paper thin and windows are drafty.
*Breakfast lacked protein. So much sugar (not that I would get rid of the option).
Aside from those nit-picks, I'll come back. I think I got an okay value for my dollar given the economic climate. Guests were polite and respectful of one another, which made staying here that much more safe.
Location was good enough as well, great for university visitors, amenities not too far with walking. Transit is close enough (when they're not on strike).
It was either L'Appartment or Residence Inn. At least now I have an option out here.
A bientot.
