A wonderful cosy cottage in an idyllic spot, just a short drive numerous locations. We got good communication prior to our visit with checkin info and local tourism advice. I'd have like to know more about what was at the property (e.g. shower gel etc.)Parking and check in easy enough. Front and back gardens both enclosed but not particularly grassy if your dog is toilet fussy!Whole house is well done and cosy. It did get chilly in the evenings so bring slippers and be prepared to light the fire. There is a small start supply for this. The bedrooms were cosy and beds comfy however. We were left all towels we needed and the kitchen was fairly well equipped. Milk, eggs, bread, and butter were even ready for our arrival which was wonderful. Coffee and sugar aplenty but not much tea. If you intend to cook, grab some oil so there was none available , but there were some seasonings in the cupboard. You can use the dishwasher and washer dryer and detergents are provided. There are no toiletries for the shower though. If a great shower is a necessity, this was not that. Hot water not a problem but a little weak. Of note, my tall other half did a very hard whack to the head as the ceilings upstairs are low, so be mindful of this.
Great location disappointing cleanliness and lack of window screens.
The cottage is very cute and quaint. Location is so nice because it is away from hustle and bustle of traffic but close to beautiful villages with shops and restaurants.
We had a some major disappointments. One was the cleanliness of the furniture in living room. They have old feather pillows with feathers poking out and my Aunt immediately got a rash on her back that went away fast after we removed the pillows and blankets on the couch. We love dogs and have them ourselves but they should have couch pillows and blankets that can be easily washed between stays.
Left over bleach from someone prior to our arrival RUIND pants just purchased from Harods in London that were expensive. My daughter loved them and now out 200 pounds.
Smell of detergent in towels and sheets is strong.
Last huge disappointment is we went in August and there are NO screens on windows so you can not sleep with the windows open so you are hot. If you left the window open spiders and insects came in. So even though evenings would have been cool enough if the windows were opened you were hot and humid inside.
I spent a birthday long weekend at this beautiful house with my nan and daughter, and we were absolutely blown away. The house is stunning from the outside and tastefully decorated on the inside. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like keeping breakables out of reach of little hands.
The house was exceptionally well-stocked with all the essentials, and the surrounding area was peaceful and safe. The welcome book was incredibly informativeâwe ended up using several of the recommendations during our stay.
We felt so at home in the cottage that we were genuinely sad to leave. I hope we get the chance to return someday!
Such a cosy and friendly little cottage with small touches of detail to make your stay homey and comfortable for a family with children and four legged children!
A very well equipped cottage. Very dog friendly in a lovely village ideal to do lots of walks from. Shame the local pub was not dog friendly but that's not a reflection on the cottage. Would definitely consider staying at this property again.
An excellent cottage with everything you could possible need provided. We have never been in a rental cottage with so much supplied especially in the kitchen. The bedrooms were ample size and the beds and bedding first class. It was a little difficult to find the cottage at first but we soon worked it out. Excellent cottage.
Very tastefully decorated, gorgeous little cottage. Lots of thoughtful touches. Absolutely lovely place, we have just found our new favourite weekend bolt-hole in the country
