If we could have turned around, left, got our money back, and found another place to stay, we would have. Thereâs no mention of unusually low ceilings or the incedibly narrow shower in the description of the Hideaway, but those dominate your experience during your stay there. The property was very dark when we arrived, with no lighting around the parking, but the space was clean. However, many of the ceilings are just barely above 6â and have glass light fixtures hanging down. Iâm just over 6â and hit my head about 5 times before I began to walk completely hunched over. The light fixtures are downright dangerous, and though I wear skinny-fit shirts, I couldnât stand forward in the shower. I had to stand sideways in the shower for the duration. I canât imagine what the average American will experience. The water doesnât get very hot either. It says the bed is a King, but itâs the smallest King Iâve ever slept on, with my feet hanging off for most of the night. Candidly, we were deceived by the description. Unless youâre 5â4â or below, beware.
