Overall, the hotel was great! Only issue I had was the bed was so hard, no give or cushion to it. Pillows are hotel pillows...not the best. This hotel is in Alstadt (Old Town) Munich and is very close (2-3 min walk) to Marienplatz train station and lot of the sights (Marienplatz, Viktualienmarkt, St. Peter). The staff were amazing and they will hold your luggage for as long as you need while exploring, even after you check out. If I come back to Munich, I'd definitely consider staying here again.

A disappointment overall. Great location, professional staff and a very good breakfast buffet but the room was small, carpet was dated and dirty and the bed was not comfortable (my wife hardly slept as she could feel the springs). Church chimes at 7 am are interesting but very loud and went on for some time. Not the hotel to pick if you want to sleep in but a decent choice if you want to be central and get up early.

The hotel was very clean, modern and pleasant. The breakfast was very good and was probably the best of all hotels we stayed at in Germany and Switzerland. Overall I would have rated this a 5 star stay, but there is no AC and we had no option but to open the window (which faced the street). Unfortunately, we spent the night listening to all the drunks, obnoxious and rude people who think they are alone in this world and can therefore scream, yell and talk at the top of their lungs into the wee hours. After flying 9 hours, we were exhausted and didn't need that. So our first night in Germany wasn't the best sleeping experience. Not necessarily the hotel's fault, but just consider it if you plan to book here. I am not sure whether you can request a room at the back or not? Luckily we just stayed the night. Also, I can imagine that during the summer, it would be miserable sleeping there without the AC.
