Ants!!!

Checked in and the lady at the counter was nice enough. The place looks sketchy driving up but once to the room it wasnt as bad. Or so we thought. Upon closer inspection there was candy wrappers left under the beds and looked as if it hadnt been cleaned in forever. We overlooked it as we know how hard it is nowadays. Went to bed that night and woke ip the next morning covered in ants. They were all over 2 of the beds and the night stand in between. I went to talk to the lady at the counter and she immediately got an attitude claiming they had just had an exterminater out that specifically targeted the building our room was housed in. I showed her the video i took of the ants and her response was that she wasnt calling me a liar. I checked us out and despite the evidence i submitted( a nine second video of ants crawling everywhere) i received only half a refund. Do not and will not recommend to anyone passing through. GO SOME WHERE ELSE!

I loved how unique it was. I was not happy about the surprise charges for 2 beds because my dad and I were not a married couple. I booked this room through expedia and there was no mention of that requirement.

I think he was the owner and he was very nice. But when we checked into our rooms, it was just kind of a rundown motel. Yes it was very old and It definitely needed updating. We did not feel comfortable staying there. so forfeited our hundred dollars and went and stayed at the holiday express.

The pictures for this place were misleading. The pool area was in a shed towards the back of the place and looked rundown. We did not stay there, we canceled and stayed somewhere else. The outside pool pictures were from the water pad at the diamond mines. We ended up at the queen diamond inn..

This was a last minute trip, on a holiday weekend, so we took the only room we could find. The lady at the desk was not friendly or very welcoming. The AC was unable to be turned below 74. The "indoor water park"... Well it made me wonder what constitutes a water park. The place seemed a little seedy and not the room you go back to for a comfortable nap. The towns people were very friendly and the local shops were great. The Diamond Mine, glad I did it, but just not for me. We had a wonderful trip all in all!! Make the best of what you got!

My son loved the i door waterpark. It is not the Holiday Inn! And I think $89 a night was steep. Our room would rate maybe 2 stars. Only a 3 restaurants. Terrys place (home cooking), sonic & Tellinga mexican food.

This property is outdated and run down. There was no grounded outlets to charge electronics, nowhere to hang clothing, no dresser to put anything in and the room smelled weird, almost like a stale smell. Did not have any housekeeping while there.
