There were no linens or towels when we arrived at 4PM. That issue was remedied, however we had SEVERAL other issues with this property. Upon arrival, we struggled with navigating the uneven, unsafe safe steps with one leaning railing that didn't span the entire walking area (see photo) and the deck was in disrepair, unsightly paint peeling, dusty and dirty with two HUGE spider webs and massive Orb spiders (see photo), which were creepy. It appeared as though the deck hadn't been swept in months. The area around the cottage was unkept, scrubby, and weedy. There was an attempt to clear an area for a turn around to back out safely, but it was wet and muddy and difficult to navigate, In addition, the inside needed some maintenance also. The screen door didn't latch and the countertops were loose in places. The closets had open insulation on the walls in one room and the ceiling to the attic in the other, which gives rodents easy access to the whole house. My husband couldn't even get comfortable enough to sleep. The next day we noticed a black rodent box in the living room--not acceptable, and very creepy! The kitchen cabinets had a moldy smell and there were cobwebs in the upper cabinets. The pans and other cookware was not good at all--dirty and scrapped up. We left the cottage and stayed in a hotel the second day and did not go back at all! It's honestly not fit to rent at all, as it stands. Sadly, after a deep dive in reviews, MANY of these same issues were flagged before!!!
