This is a very dated property in a decent location. Staff was friendly, but system for checking in and buying items in the convenience corner is slow. Needs investment desperately. Could be great, but it just isn’t, as much as I want it to be.

Called ahead to ensure we could get a higher room with a view I had paid extra for, as I was taking my elderly mom on a last visit to Muskegon to go down memory lane.Was assigned probably the worst room they had on the second floor. No chairs to sit in, except a single dangerous office chair that should be removed as it throws you straight back, tipping over. I would have picked a different date if I had known I wasn’t going to be able to get my request. People stepped out the door below our room to smoke all night, the skunk smell of pot flowed into our room above and stayed. Worst experience I have ever had staying at a hotel and I have traveled for work for years.

Allowed us a super-early check-in with great service and friendliness from the staff. Our room is great with an excellent view. The pool was quite crowded and having one of the hot tubs out of order and the other with jets not working made it worse but stuff happens and I’m sure it’ll get fixed.

Excellent stay. Only issue was the TV remote did not work with TV. Was not a major issue for us but might want to resolve for future guests. Bartender/gentleman that manned the breakfast bar was so very kind. Did not catch his name… older blonde fellow. Please extend our gratitude.
