Beach view was poor. We were looking out onto the roof of the level below us. After our first of five days there we stopped using the shower which had no grab bars. One serious fall there will cost you much more than it would cost to install the grab bars that should be there.

Overall had a great time at this resort. Proximity to everything is great without being in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Only complaint is rooms could use a bit of updating. Fridge always had a puddle and ice on one shelf. Beds were kind of hard, not so comfortable. Breakfast was always good at the restaurant and staff was friendly. Had a coffee shop and ice cream fridge in main lobby that closed at random times. We were told it closed at 8pm but tried to get something at about 7:30pm and it was already closed and locked. Overall would recommend.

I booked Dunes based on the information provided on the Expedia page. Specifically, the description mentioned the included daily room service. As I found out, there was no daily room service. When I inquired at the desk, I was told that there is a room service once a week – either on Tuesday or Wednesday. Come Wednesday, and the room service consisted of changing the towels and taking out the trash. The beds were not made. Another inquiry, and I was told that: “You were supposed to tell them if you wanted the beds to be made up.” I have never stayed in a hotel where one is supposed to tell the staff that the beds have to be made up. Besides, apparently, one has to wait for the room service person to tell this. So, long story short, the situation with room service at Dunes is… sketchy. I stayed at the Palmetto tower in the room eight eleven. I did not expect any luxury, but some things were clearly substandard. The board on the murphy bed was plain broken. The decorations hanging in the bathroom were rusted – and I am not talking about antique rustic look, I am talking about plain old unsightly rust on something which should have been replaced at little expense many years ago. On the positive side, the pool was clean, water parks were in OK condition, and the access to beach was convenient.

Beach was nice with easy access. Food was good and reasonably priced. Waitresses were excellent. Hotel itself was very dated. Rugs old and dirty looking walls needed paint,cabinets damaged.Toilet was missing a bolt an rocked when in use. Hotel designed for families and the 2 pools are small for the amount of rooms. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Oarking is across the street in a parking garage.

I loved the room, amenities, the staff, and the restaurants! The food was delicious and our waitresses were awesome! While our room was clean, at night, the balcony had huge bugs on it! The room was bug free, and very nice, but the balcony….ewww….i could see their antennae under the carpet on the balcony, and I killed a couple, but they kept coming night after night! The rest of the property was clean, nice, and inviting! I would definitely stay there again, but I would bring bug spray for the balcony!

Internet was wonderful! I got work done. The staff was mixed. First night front desk was not really friendly or helpful. The rest of the time was decent. Beach view from room was good. I wish I could have truly gotten a room directly in front of the ocean. The room cleanliness was good, but appliances bedding, and furniture needs upgrades mattresses are stained badly, furniture and appliances are outdated.

I’ve stayed at this property several times over the years because with kids the water park is nice. This time our room had roaches in it, at night they come out to play (YUCK) The parking is horrible. The parking garage is across the street & down a block. They also don’t enforce the parking rules for the areas reserved for tall vehicles so if you have a tall vehicle good luck all the parking will be full of small cars from people who want to park on the bottom floor. So overall the management of this property has declined over time. This used to be a 5 star resort and now it’s a 3 at best.

Because usually resorts it’s not and for me as a black woken czn feel uncomfortable. Nothing racist just personally. This is a joke !

The beach was clean the rooms where way to high up . The check in lady was nasty . Look at me like I was stupid. Pool had green stuff on the water . The bartender hated his job ! Kids were made to get off the pool .
