Its an older building, great job renovating the inside, outside looks more run down. Pool could use some seating for adults not swimming, even basic benches, but a good pool otherwise Staff at Rickis is great!!! Can be noisy since its an older building so above neighbours can be noisy

For 270$ a night, there's a few things why it's not really worth it to me. For one the hot tub jets weren't working. I understand that can happen and maybe waiting for parts. But One of the reasons I booked it was for the hottub. Still was nice for the heat. The hotel wasn't really quiet either, like I could hear the next door suite guy snoring. Most hotels you can hear hallway noise which is fine. But I shouldn't be able to hear the suite next to me. One of the nights the power went out. Super surprised they don't have a back up diesel generator. Or even solar/battery backup. Even though it went out at night time around 11pm, and out of their control..but paying 270$ a night. You should have power backups for a facility that large and that busy. As well the stay came with continental breakfast, In this day and age some of us are allergic to gluten..well they didnt even have a gluten free option for celiacs. Not ideal, especially when I requested that before hand in the notes section while booking the hotel. So I wouldn't really recommend this place for the price. If they at least gave everyone a discount for the power outage situation for that night. Would have gotten a little better rating. But definitely wasn't worth the price per night. Maybe it was just my stay and chance. Probably have to try it again some other time and see if they make any appropriate changes. Staff was pretty awesome though I have to admit that. Pretty good team. No changes needed there.

Not the best but definitely not the worst.

I was disappointed in the housekeeping services. Returned to a half cleaned room on the second last day of our stay. However, overall the stay was good. Beds were comfortable. It was a decent location. Shower pressure is not great but it was clean.

We checked in during a power outage and staff was excellent! However, hotel was completely dark, exit signs and smoke detectors were not working during the outage. Although cleaner than some places we have been lately, there was a fair amount of mold in the bathroom above the shower.

Door wouldn’t close unless lifted to clear the doorframe. Hinge was clearly repaired multiple times, but improperly and ineffectively. Flies in room. A/C unit intake filter dirty and unit was very loud. Cheap, window unit placed permanently through the wall. Mattress and bedframe were low quality. Curtains were worn and wearing through. Generally, things were painted over rather than updated. That said, the appearance was fine and as expected from pictures. Furniture, carpet, bathroom fixtures were decent / updated. Sheets, towels, cabinets/drawers/surfaces were clean.

Ok for last-minute booking, but I will not go to this place if I have more time. Very old fridge with a broken door storage, old stove top. Each dish is from a different set, no salt and pepper. Dark dirty carpet in the room and old wall A/C.?Swimming pool with foggy water. But nice front desk reception guy.

Family friendly spot on the waterfront

Older hotel but was clean and staff were very friendly. Great location, right across from the waterfront. The complimentary breakfast was great. Especially with the hot foods (scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, and the waffle maker!) the breakfast attendant was amazing. So kind and considerate! She supplied us with a high chair for our son and put cartoons on the tv for him. She also explained how to use the waffle maker and told us that if we needed anything we couldn’t find on the counters, to ask her and she’d find what she could from their kitchen. Just a really lovely lady, we appreciated her. The only downsides were, being an older hotel - the beds were a little worn and springy, and both the hot tub and sauna were boarded up and out of use since my last stay (which was several years ago now). But this was still a solid hotel stay. Great service, and great location for an affordable price!
