The house was beautiful, like a huge cottage. House was huge, plenty of space for our group. House was not very clean. There was a dead bird in the living room, bird poop scattered all over the house. The house was not very secure. The windows were easy to open, locks didnât work . Back door had no closing knob only a small chain, door was able to be opened and you could get in. The back yard was full of broken furniture. The shower in the middle bathroom was nice but the door didnât close all the way causing water to get on floor. A lot of small issues and security issues, but we enjoyed ourselves!
It was a nice location and everyone had their own bathroom and comfortable beds. Unfortunately it rained and there was a leaking roof. The property management company graciously offered to get us a discount.
House is old and cool. One room the door didn't close and the windows open to the bathroom from the hallway. Couldn't check in early because it was "cleaned" but then windows were broken and there was glass on the floor. A pile of broken lawn chairs in back. "Local team" was going to come but never saw them. Don't expect any kind of service or support. Wouldn't of needed them if it wasn't for broken windows. Nice central location. Otherwise house has plenty of room, nice kitchen, and is kind of cool. Nice neighborhood with bars within walking distance.
We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. There were a few issues with the place, as door knobs were not working or missing on some of the bedroom doors, we were notified when we walked in via a note that the back two kitchen doors windows had been broken recently and covered up with tape with repair to come later and could have used some blinds or shades in a few areas (big kitchen window for one) to provide a little privacy.
The house, property, and neighborhood were absolutely beautiful. My only complaint would be the parking. We were told we would have 3 spaces in the driveway, but a few times they were full and we had to park behind the house. Maybe marking the parking spaces would be helpful. My other suggestion would be to have more fans/better A/C upstairs as it was very warm up there. The character in the house was so charming. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend if you are wanting a place close to downtown Nashville without being immersed in the downtown hustle and bustle!!
Our group had a nice time, great location, easy access to various hot spots we visited. As a large home for families or groups, we were a little disappointed in the kitchen utilities, lack of cookware and cooking utensils. There were only 2 glasses. The back right master had the door knob stuck, the shower leaks on the floor really bad and the shower head and plumbing needs repaired. There was no trash can on site to empty the house trash. The smoke detectors were all disconnected and sitting in a drawer.
We would stay here again. It was very clean. Comfortable beds. Great size kitchen. The customer service was top notch. Highly recommend for your familyâs time in Nashville.
The location is great. The house is lovely with comfy furniture and beds. The patio was nice, but the furniture was dirty. There were only a few mismatched glasses in an otherwise reasonably stocked kitchen. No coffee pot, just Keurig, no hair dryer, iron or ironing board could be located. No gym access, the pool was closed for the season at the end of September. There is parking despite being told we would have to pay to park half a mile away. The management company took over seven hours to come fix the electronic lock limiting our ability to securely come and go.
This is a great house in a great location for inter-generational guests. We had two sets of elderly grandparents who needed private bathrooms and limited stairs. There are three wonderful large bedrooms on the main floor, 2 with their own bathrooms. The living room is spacious and comfortable and the kitchen is connected so you can cook and still be part of the action. The third floor was great for our teenage/adult children. The location is convenient - 5 Daughter's Doughnuts and Jenni's ice-cream just around the corner and lots of nice neighbourhoods to walk in. Only a couple of drawbacks - it is an old house so doors don't close properly and the upstairs is pretty warm - however, we used the community grill one nights, sat outside in the back on a cooler evening and our teens used the fitness center. I highly recommend this location.
Overall was a great stay. We did have some issues with the door lock code not working. Usually took 4-5 tries to get in and once I had to call. A little frustrating when coming back late.
We loved the character of the house but of course with the age of the home comes a few challenges. There is a door in the kitchen that only locks with a light chain, not the most secure, the shower door in the middle bedroom does not close so water gets on the floor. The kitchen could use some more items such as a larger frying pan, a tea kettle and a tea pot.
Stayed with 3 couples. Room for another couple comfortably. Clean, spacious, quiet house. I will stay here every time I return to Nashville. 10 minute Uber ride to Broadway. Plus walking distance to great local restaurants and bars. If youâre looking for a place to stay when visiting Nashville - choose this house.
Overall the stay was good. Unfortunately there were several things that would have made it better.
I am not sure who the cleaning company is but they shouldnât be cleaning houses. None of the beds upstairs were made. Sheets were just thrown on the beds so we didnât know if they were clean or dirty so we washed all of the sheets on every bed upstairs and downstairs. The floors were filthy. We swept and wiped down some of the floor to clean it.
The air did not work upstairs at all and no fans were provided. The 3 people that were supposed to sleep upstairs had to share beds with those downstairs.
There was very minimal towels to use for showering, no cleaning supplies, 1 garbage bag, and minimal toilet paper. The Filter on the refrigerator is 99% dirty and needs to be changed.
The house is historic and beautiful however I am not sure about it as a rental. We paid a lot to stay there and it just wasnât really worth it.
Itâs a perfect rental for 3 people, nothing more than that though.
Vacasa cancelled our reservation en route, never answered their phone, and did not tell us the pool was closed. when we arrived, house was a mess. VRBO tried to intervene though how they compensated us was pennies compared to the panic and frustration we withstood.
