Fine
It was fine. The room was comfortable. It smelled a little like people had smoked in the room. The toilet seat was slightly in disrepair. But it was fine.
My room was disgusting The pictures and reviews on hotels.com didn't know justice I should have gone to Google to verify other actual people's pictures and reviews I took several pictures of disgusting stuff because it's too much to type. *Just kidding I just tried to add photos in the app will not let me even after I restarted the app but I have the pictures to send to who needs to see them!*
Arrived at 10pm. Front desk says that the booked non-smoking room was not available. Was told that I could go to other properties ay 11pm. Finally, magically a room was available, which clearly was a smoking room, so many bugs that had to wear shoes to walk around the room. Impossible to use a disgusting washroom and on top, party on the next room that didn't stop until 4am.
Regretted every single minute in this place, hated it and would never consider going back.
I knew going in that we were booking a cheap hotel and expected it to be a bit run down but this was by far the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in. The bed and towels were the only part of the room I would say was clean. Walls had liquid stains all down them, doors were visibly dirty, light switches were dirty, lamp was burnt out and had no shade. Bathtub was literally cracked. We saw some rooms that appeared cleaner but they were booked. Entirely property was run down, pool wasn’t up until end of May so no pool. Sign burnt out. Homeless people all over the property. Floors were dirty, freezer in fridge had all kinds of gunk in it. Door to room was falling apart at the bottom and no sealed properly so spaces all around the door. The only “nice” part was the girl at the front desk when we checked in was super friendly
If you know what you’re getting yourself into and set the expectations right, the Drake is a great alternative to the exorbitant hotel room rates in downtown Nashville. The staff is helpful and the rooms are very serviceable.
We were in a renovated king room. It was ok, still showed the age of the hotel but was clean enough.
The staff we encountered at check in was very kind. The staff after that was rigid an unhelpful.
Traffic is very loud along the main street (not the fault of the hotel, but something to note in any case).
Go into this with the understanding that you get what you pay for!

NEVER STAYED BECAUSE THEY PUT US UP IN. A DIRTY ROOM WITH UNMADE BEDS WITH DIRTY SHEETS AND WET TOWELS ON YHE FLOOR AND FOOD PRODUCT ON TABLE/DESK. REFUSED TO CLEAN ROOM TOLD US WE COULD CLEAN OURSELVES AND THEN DIDNT REFUND.
Actually i never made it to Nashville because Southwest Airlines really screed up my flight so badly that I had to cancel the trip .constant delays and I would have never made it to my grandaughter's graduation on time.
Well it all started with them giving us the wrong room because they gave our room to somebody else even though ours was reserved. They didn't care that they did this and let us sleep on what I believe was a full size mattress when we are supposed to have a game. She is disabled I am permanently disabled as well and as a disabled veteran I don't appreciate the lack of concern. The ID they have on file or had was my department of defense ID. So it's not like they didn't know. Then we got to our lovely room. Which hadn't been dusted or cleaned and God knows how long it barely had a comforter which was not even worth calling a cover it was more like a dust cover with one sheet and two pillows. The rock hard mattress made sleeping even more difficult. Overall this is probably one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. And I have traveled quite a bit through the military and delivering furniture at one point 12 years in the Army you stay in a couple hotels if you catch my drift. Frankly dirty would have been an upgrade I'm surprised there weren't roaches crawling up the walls. When I looked up the hotel it made it sound like it was close to downtown so I was assuming apparently incorrectly at the hotel would be decent and in a decent neighborhood however we were in what I would refer to as the ghetto most people would too as well I would assume. I can't give them anything lower than one star unfortunately so I gave them one stars on everything.
Let's start with the staff, they were actually nice and courteous. The room reaked of cigarettes. The beds belonged in a dumpster. Door was filthy, electrical panel was loose, black mold in the bathroom. Other guests were loud. AC was filthy. RM 201. I emailed the health dept to file a claim. I would appreciate a refund for being misled into thinking this was a decent place. I'm not sure who thought it was a good idea to rent a room full of health and safety violations.
