The property was undergoing renovation at the time of my stay, so there were parts of the common areas under construction. We were given a first floor room that didn't seem to have other guest rooms around. The room had not been renovated, so some of the furniture was a bit worn. Still, it was clean and comfortable. However, the shower head dripped and the shampoo bottle holder had broken off the side of the shower. Even in a hotel undergoing renovation, basic maintenance should still be kept up with.
The staff was friendly and efficient during check in and out.
Was upgraded to a newly renovated rm because air conditioning was not functioning properly in original rm . No fridge in new rm , we had food and medication. Gentleman at front desk was so kind and helpful we hated to bother him a second time , just a really inconvenient ending to our day
The reason for the average rating is as follows: the faucet in the bathroom dripped continuously, the refrigerator door rattled constantly, and the hvac system sounded like it had trash trapped inside that was so loud that I thought there was something outside the window that was blowing in the wind.
Check in was a breeze. Ash (desk clerk) was so friendly and helpful. Very clean Room was newly renovated and beautiful. Coffee was very good the next morning.
Upon checking in the front desk person was nice and helpful. I was given a first floor room. I really don't like 1st floor and asked if something else was available. Nothing available but he would clean a room someone checkex out of early. I really appreciated it but turned it down. Upon entering the room we were hit with a strong mold smell. Turned the ac up and ordered dinner. My daughter went to take a shower and there were 2 used wash clothes in the shower. Upon futher scrutiny there were lipstick smudges on the door. A hair roller under the sink. And layers of dust in the corners of the room.
We stayed two nights in Nashville at this property. There are signs posted that they are under renovation, but I saw very little evidence of renovations (other than the posted signs and unfinished drywall by the elevator). Our bed was really uncomfortable. The edges of the mattress had a hard edge (the metal frame on the spring mattress), and the middle really sagged. The water in the shower and sink went from hot to cold without warning. Breakfast was very bland. We ate it the first morning, but opted to pay for breakfast the second day at a restaurant. The room was a great size, but everything felt damp. The a/c was noisy. I got a text asking how our stay was going, and when I stated my concerns, the response was âthatâs why we are under renovation.â When I looked at the reviews for this property, people mentioned renovations from 6 months ago. One would expect to see some improvements after that amount of time, but there werenât any that were evident. Maybe some rooms are improved and ours hadnât been updated yet? It just seemed odd that the signs said one thing and the conditions said another. It was disappointing for a Hilton property. Weâve stayed at nicer hotels in downtown Chicago for a much better price.
