Hotel was definitely no frills. The coffee was good, breakfast was good, minus the waffles (the dough never cooked all the way), didn't have scrambled eggs or omelettes. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. The bathroom needed an upgrade or just repairs. The bathtub was old and had seen better days, the door facing was worn out.... Just wear and tear that hadn't been kept up with.

I reserved two rooms at this property 4 months ago and when I arrived to check in at 5pm they claimed there was a glitch in the system and had no rooms available. Their claim was that they never received my reservation, but they had my name printed on a paper sitting on their desk with my reservation for two rooms, once I pointed this out they changed their story saying it was Expedia's fault and they only found out about my reservation yesterday. I asked why I was never contacted and they had no answer. They did not try to help us in any way and told us there was nothing they could do. Luckily I found rooms available at another hotel. Two hours after I tried to check in they called me trying to up sell me for two rooms that magically became available I obviously did not take that offer. Absolutely horrible experience with people who DO NOT belong in the hospitality industry at all in any manor.

The breakfast is what could use a bit of a reboot. Only undercooked sausage , biscuit and grave was the only options for hot breakfast. I travel a bit and eggs, bacon and possible bagels would be a added treat. The bringing towels to front desk in order to get new bath towels was very different than I have ever seen at any hotel I have stayed at, with that being said this trip was just bringing some of my daughters friends to float the river so their expectations were not that high. I would stay here again but maybe a few changes could be updated.

Not as nice as it seems

Nice looking hotel from afar but up close you can see how cheaply it was remodeled. The leather headboard was peeling, bottom of the door was cracked off, lamp shade was missing. But the staff were great.

After checking out, we realized we had accidentally left a Yeti Tupperware container in the mini fridge. When we contacted the property to inquire about it, we were informed that the item was no longer there and that they were unable to identify who had cleaned or serviced the room. What’s concerning is that several items were left in the fridge: an unopened can of Coke Zero, an unopened can of Monster Energy, an open container of cheese, a container of pickles, some ice cream, and the Yeti Tupperware. When staff checked, the Coke, the energy drink, and the Tupperware were missing—while everything else remained. This strongly suggests that someone took those specific items. Additionally, we encountered a few maintenance issues during our stay: • The toilet was clogged upon arrival. • The shower had very low water pressure. • There was a persistent unpleasant smell on the first floor. We hope these concerns are addressed appropriately, as they significantly impacted our experience.
